QUOTE(tnsai @ Nov 12 2017, 06:51 PM) Contemplating if Doom and Skyrim is worth it. Already played Skyrim twice (once a mage, once a rogue-type) .. only thing I have missed was the last expansion. Yet, the allure of playing it again on-the-go etc is appealing. Haven't played this incarnation of Doom yet, and so far reviews/streams look good (close up of textures look horrible though).. but the game is being sold at rm 100 or so for PS4 version. However, again the allure of playing it portable... the reason for me to get console is to play exclusive games. dah la backlog alot still want to purchase twice i would love to have more indie game on switch - bastion, transistor, pyre and etc. those games is great on switch

Got myself Doom to play on NSW over the weekend. The graphics is inferior to PS4 but for a portable console, I rate is very high already. My only complaint is that gameplay is somewhat difficult. I think Doom is best played using PC (Keyboard + Mouse). Playing with two joystick is very different and somewhat difficult to do a precise aim at the monsters.

Not region lock, so it's playable. Just make sure when choosing region.. just pick US for ease of use for digital purchase. Nintendo standard.. there is US, EU and Japan.. no asia country... they just don't support all region. Physical games here has mostly been US version.. with some being EU.. dlc wise there is some problem if lets say you have an EU copy but want to buy the DLC.. you will need to make an EU account. It's not much of an issue tho, because you can have multiple accounts for a Switch.

Apart from that should not have issues. Your Switch account can be either US, EU or Japan. Lets sya you pick Malaysia. There is nothing on the eShop for it. Also kinda not supported in games as well. Like Mario Kart and etc.

Lucky only my Mario+Rabbid is EU copy among all... which I didn’t plan to buy the DLC anyway Another topic, anyone here try to purchase game in EU eShop using M’sia Credit Card before? Is it just the same process as easy like US eShop? This post has been edited by tenakira: Nov 13 2017, 10:37 PM

Comparing eShop digital game prices, looks like the majority of the cheapest games are from South African eShop store. https://eshop-prices.com/Doom for Switch for example, is RM200 after conversion from the S.African eShop store. Inb4 "how to buy from South African eShop store"? That, you'll have to research yourself. These days, I only buy mini games in eShop store, and big titles I buy physical, that way I can resell them once I wanna move on to the next Switch title.

Before only Canada e-Shop supports it, and yeah dlc sorta region lock, unless you are on the right region. Same like PS4, dlc works that way as well.
