Saw this in Lazada. Damn good price for the specs. If I was IT savvy, would just buy this and do the necessary adjustments to make it 'Malaysia friendly'

4lt4ir I believe this is China version as this phone is not 'brought' into Malaysia so far. I've heard before for phones that are from China, certain procedures need to be done before we are able to get certain stuff like whatsapp, playstore etc. Not too sure how easy/difficult it is. For lack of a better word, I used the word 'Malaysia friendly' as we need all this type of stuff

If you happen to buy the phone (not sure about the sellerr's credibility ), let us know how good it is

Another factor to consider it as "Malaysia-friendly" is the modem inside the phone. Without proper 4G LTE bands (aka modem), it may not support full 4G LTE carrier aggregation for certain telcos...

However, even though LeMoto P2 is "Malaysia-friendly", it still doesn't support VoLTE for all telcos in Malaysia... The weird thing is, initially, P2 supports YES 4G VoLTE service. But at certain OTA, it was immediately disabled for unknown reasons... Luckily, I was only testing the YES 4G using their prepaid SIM card...

P2 is using proprietary charger tech. Try call Lenovo Service Centre to ask for spare parts. Most probably they will say this product is End-of-Life.

I bought the extra ori charger and cable for RM65 but have to wait for 1 month to arrive and self-collect at Lenovo Service Centre in KL.

Our last option is to use any charger/cable that support Qualcomm QC2.0 will do...

a bit pricey but considering its original part i think is good purchase.

Oh btw, currently i find it difficult to charge my P2. After plug in the cable it didnt charging as usual.

Sometimes the orange light is on but it is not charging (no thunder icon in battery).

Previous monday might hint something as after i finished charging my phone it suddenly shut down. Press the power button and it only display "BOOT MODE IS CHARGER" and it will shut off again, which will loop in about 30+ minutes before i decided to let it shut off and try to switch on after 1 hour and it recover itself.

I wonder if that is CHARGER PORT issue or BATTERY issue hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

UPDATE 10/09/2019

For those who are wondering, it is BATTERY issue. Change your battery and it will be resolve

AliExpress...

Read the reviews before commit... From my perspective, P2 is over 2 years old... So, genuine spare parts does NOT exist...

my P2 bought on early January 2018. it was rooted, flashed, tortured to the max and now back to stock firmware and unrooted.
SOT now i think is around 8-9 hrs, not really sure because start using it as wifi hotspot device since 3 months ago. for full hotspot usage close to 9 hrs refer picture below

not much different i think, maybe 1-2 hrs SOT lesser since the recharging cycle is lesser compared to other device which need to recharge at least twice a day or once a day. oh yeah, forgot to mention, while i was using it as main device also hotspot-ing after office hour and whole day of weekend. so even my unit was late in use abt 2 yrs (was also built in 2016, but retailer keep in storeroom), i dont think my unit was used gently compared to other laugh.gif
