Now, it's been 2 years 4 months old...

The energy supply clearly depreciates from 5100 mAh to "around" 4,000 mAh now... This is because everytime after fully charge the P2, it'll drop from 100% to 90% for 1 hour YouTube... On the 1st year, the same 1 hour YouTube just consumed 5% energy...

So, for a brand new unit, as of today, the battery cell is almost dry edy. So, it may not be 5,100 mAh anymore after 2.5 years untouched from factory... I dunno the exact energy  value but looking at my usage, I estimate the sealed box unit should have around 4,750 mAh energy supply...but so long as 1 year warranty applies, no need to worry about old stock performance.

Best custom rom for lenovo p2? My main gripe is the stock camera, hopeless, is there any step by step guide on youtube on how to install a custom rom for lenovo p2, gcam is priority, if can get battey life and standby time like the stock rom would be great.

I only tested Resurrection ROM. AFAIK, none of the custom ROM has successfully enabled the Rocket Charge for P2. Without Rocket Charge, we need at least 3.5 hours to fully charge P2.

Hence, I reverted back to stock ROM (Nougat still for me...) and just keep the TWRP and Camera2API enabled. With this, we can always pick-and-choose which GCam module to use/test. 

So, if you're focusing on GCam, forget about custom ROM. Have you being able to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP so far?

How do i unlock bootloader / enable camera 2api / install twrp?
I found twrp app on playstore but looks suspicious haha
Can i do it all from my phone or do i need to connect to a computer?

I'm assuming you have not attempted to execute rooting before this.

Please bare in mind that once rooted, we "MAY" not able to use e-Banking & e-Wallet apps like Lazada, Grab, Maybank2u, Boost, Touch 'N Go e-Wallet, etc. So, better have your secondary phone as a backup for any e-Banking & e-Wallet services.

So, we'll do this in stages...

STAGE 1 :
Full backup all data (eg bookmarks, contacts, SMS, game data, WhatsApp data, etc). I recommend "Helium" apps as illustrated below :


STAGE 2 :
Unlocking bootloader, installing TWRP and Magisk. Follow YouTube below including its descriptions:


STAGE 3 :
Enabling Camera2API & Google Camera Framework. Follow YouTube below including its descriptions:


After stage 3, we can explore many other GCam modules to test with P2 available at link below:

Hi, any suggestion for powerbank that support rocket charging and also where do i find the spare part for lenovo p2 for the speaker part? My phone is having a cracking sound. Thanks

I've had mine for just over a year, got it in late May 2018. I used it just to park my 2nd number, doesn't even enable data, nor use whatsapp.

It's on wifi most of the time, to surf fb, internet, youtube and stuffs, also to torrent and consume media. Completely stock, bootloader never unlocked, only use nova launcher.

I think the battery life is bad lately, should i factory reset? In this cycle, i didn't download torrent at all, SOT so far 4 hours 18min, yet battery dropped by 56%.
