ive been using tp link M7350 for my digi infinite 150. when im at work, its blazing fast around 70mbps (IDM shows 8MB/s shoots to 9MB/s sometimes). however when im at home, fastest i got is only 1MB/s (1 or 2 bar 4g signal). coverage map shows my home area is out of 4G coverage by 100 meters.

my question is, if i grab any huawei mifi with compatible external antenna, will i get better speed at home? because the price for huawei mifi is very very expensive im a bit scared if theres no improvement.

im currently having this problem..but my house is inside the coverage area, but just at the end of it, average 2-3mbps..

since buying new modem wont promise an adequate result for the price it tagged, i dont think i will use this plan..

but if you have the money, maybe you can try and help others like me who cant blindly invest on RM300-RM400 modem and at the end of the day, it make no difference..

sad life of people living outside coverage.. cry.gif

truly agree.. in such case where tested speed is not that great, buying a powerful CPE/router is not the best option in terms of money.. for me mifi is better since you can move it around.. and when you find where speed is great, you can use it there..

I can feel you!
For about 15 years I have been using low speed internet.
From 56K dial up to 384K, 512K, and 1M streamyx.
It is not that I do not want to upgrade, but there is no possibility to have higher speed in my place.
Thanks to lowyat and especially this thread, I have terminated my streamyx.
Even if I get 2-3M from 4g network, it is still better than streamyx.

agreed..but my main usage for the sim is as home internet..for my wife and sister..u know sisters, binge watching drama all night long..but im looking for download and gaming, so mobility is not in my main target..

if im looking for personal use and have the budget, i dont mind using it on existing mifi..after all, my office also got internet, why waste summore on another internet plan..

same case bro. was using streamyx 384k at rm38 i think, capped to certain minutes back in 2006. jumped to 512k during World of Warcraft times. then moved to current place, NO PORTS FOR UNIFI and STREAMYX. vmad.gif

nope.. cry.gif
it was a quick purchase. didnt do any research at all. didnt even view the coverage map from digi website until i realize speed at home is very poor.
back in 2012 i DIY the dish aluminium foil glued to my 3g modem. dont have time to do that now. sweat.gif

i feel you too..my place stuck with 56k dial, 384k then 512k then lastly 1m Streamyx max until unifi come in after a while.. however all other network like digi runs very slow inside my house unless i stand outside middle of road.. i have no choice but stick to streamyx then unifi until now...digi data is purely for me to use when go out or inside office.. i am happy with Digi although runs in between 3-6mbps in my office.. so much better than my office streamyx which have so many restriction and share by so many people.. biggrin.gif

Congestion at night time at the base station that you are connected to. Digi is balancing the load.
So theoretically your speed can reach 70mbps, you won't gain much adding an antenna. Unless you are using those yagi type to connect to a different base station.

If they are so worry on the customer long long time they already take 100% market share.

So monopoly still cant gain market share....

I'm already on i150, only the RM350 termination penalty holds me back from complete cut-off on Steamyx.
