You may call him and ask, Raffiq - 011 52356996

I'm in S2 by the way. The agent brought the Unifi Lite brochure with him but I didn't managed to take a pic of the brochure as my phone was inside my house.

He had a list of places where Unifi Lite is offered.

FYI:

1. Unifi Lite is offered to places which already has fibre (Like in my case), but not all places have Unifi Lite.
2. Unifi Lite is also offered in certain places where there's no Unifi coverage. They are using copper via VDSL. The installer shared with me he just did an installation of Unifi Lite using copper before he came to my house.
*
Did the installer installed the FTB(fibre termination box) n FWS(Fibre wall socket), or direct fibre cable from pole to BTU(modem)?

What the CS told you is not true, why? Because my area has Unifi and Streamyx. I was offered numerous times to upgrade to Unifi 30Mbps but I rejected the offer till April 21st when a Unifi promoter came to my house.

Well, I've successfully upgraded from Streamyx 8Mbps to Unifi Lite 10Mbps @ RM129/month (without voice).

Here's the story:

1. April 21st, I was outside cleaning my house in the evening when a TM/Unifi promoter came and ask if I was interested to upgrade to Unifi Lite. I was suprised for a moment because I knew Unifi Lite hasn't officially launch yet. Regardless, I straight told him I'm interested and did the registration on the spot. The agent had the my card reader and his gadget to do the registration.

2. Same day I got confirmation email regarding the application and in the email it stated that installation will be on the 30th of April.

3. 27th April, I got a call from TM confirming the installation on the 30th.

4. 30th, installer came to fix the fibre cable and set everything up. Immediately my Unifi Lite was connected and I'm using it now.
So far, DL speed is around 9.5Mbps, UL speed is 5.5Mbps, latency is 7-9ms.

Yes, but you registered through agent.
I asked at TM Point hence my comments about the differences between CS@TM Point vs agents.

BTW, my place also got Streamyx and Unif.

I have to agree with you that CS knows next to nothing.

From my discussion with agent and installer, they know much much more.

Btw, if you are interested to register Unifi Lite, you can give the agent a call. You'll find his no a few post back.

For me, it doesn't make any sense to pay RM160 for 8Mbps streamyx when I can save 30 bucks a month yet have slightly higher speed and better service. rclxub.gif

Can I tell them my current cabinet number that I'm currently connected to and let them check in their system? cuz I went several time to TM point already ask them to check, they say will send someone to survey and let me know the feedback...until now no one call me... cry.gif
*
You can guess which cabinet but that not entirely precise. sometimes there are few cabinet nearby. I ask from TM chat which cabinet, and request them to check that cabinet if it VDSL capable or not

yup, look like a system bug.
that could be the main issue why TM not launch it widely.

I'm a bit confused, is unifi lite fiber optic or copper based? It's RM 129? Can i downgrade, I'm using the older plan vip5 upgraded to 10mbps, don't really need the voice service.

do your new billing with unifi lite rm99, hypptv rm30, STD call rm20?

try login unifi portal to check if you can remove the STD call or get help from TM 100

My agents failed bye.gif bye.gif

Now tried another agent posted by other member,
very surprised that he screenshot me in system my area is servicable (when TMpoint & other agent say otherwise),
also really like his honesty and detailed explanation that:
RM129 for landed property is indeed 50/50 (subject to TM approval)
if TM say no, then u r farked
he will fight for me for approval.
now this is called enthusiastic!

My agent also said this to me will be lower chance to get RM129 for landed because RM129 for low cost flat and apartment. I already tried another agent also, same answer.

Technical availability is secondary.

Its both. U get fiber or copper based on ur location/building, landed mostly fiber (except those area not covered by HSBB) and copper for high rise.

Gotta wait for official announcement and see how they explain the eligibility to opt out of STD20.
