Ya, me too. But in my case they said so long as if they found out the problem is not my side then they will waive the RM53 fee. At last its their problem as always...

QUOTE(FarEast92 @ Apr 28 2017, 08:14 PM) let's say I upgrade from streamyx 8mbps, how about my existing equipment provided by TM? Need to return or it's mine to keep? Its yours to keep. Can the existing STB be used on unifi lite network as they don't provide STB anymore for unifi lite? I dont think so. Anyone tried? |

QUOTE(mrknight @ Apr 30 2017, 03:19 PM) I don't know about retaining old number since i terminate my old streamyx one and register new for this... So in your screenshot the RM1 + RM1 charges is for what? Since you dont have neither copper landline number nor Unifi number (no voice STB20).You may ask tm point about this.. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Apr 30 2017, 03:27 PM) You can retain the old number by paying RM1 monthly. But TM will of course still give you another number for Unifi. Unless you stay in condo whereby they have to terminate your existing line and put in new line for unifi. Haha so true... RM99 is cheaper than the cheapest Streamyx. Now if only the RM30 is optional, I will happily jump in RM99 for Unifi lite. |

QUOTE(mrknight @ Apr 30 2017, 03:34 PM) I do have phone number for this unifi lite.. Oh i see.. so here is what i have understand so far:As far as i know, internet from TM must come with phone number... STD 20 is free voice call for 600 minutes charged for rm 20.. Since my account does not have std20, any usage from phone will be charged. 1. Unifi can be subscribed at RM129 without STD20 (600mins voice call) (but hv to look for certain agents, tm point will nvr do it). 2. Even without STD20, you will still get a Unifi number. (for HSBB area) 3. Even without STD20, you will still get a dect phone. (for HSBB area) Am I right? This post has been edited by y561994: Apr 30 2017, 03:48 PM |

QUOTE(totally_skint @ Apr 30 2017, 09:52 PM) I think the bill shows RM25 + RM0.81 for Unifi phone line rental which is discounted for full amount (meaning free phone line) oh, I am wrong as I initially thought that Unifi lite without STD20 = no unifi phone line.No mention of RM1 for old copper line and number. |

QUOTE(alien3d @ May 1 2017, 03:20 PM) need time loh to arrange our PM and new TM POINT guy.. At least they hv the initiative to promote "Mampu milik internet.. RM 149 sahaja " .. and it's like their house.. "200K rumah mampu milik semua orang " ** In mean time troll again.. We no have new port lah.. Btw i think my taman still got a lot capacity tho. tm dealer always come to my taman and set up tent and table and banner straight in front of my house to promote unifi, bad sad thing is no one subscribe cause it was still RM199 at that time. They even ring the doorbell from door to door. |

QUOTE(totally_skint @ May 1 2017, 06:12 PM) Pity the agents. So true, they will be front of my house like once/ twice a month, i barely see anyone approaching them also. They work on commission. Stay out in the sun the whole day - no customer - no money. And all because TM priced their services out of people's affordability level. I wonder how many of these agents themselves subscribe to the Unifi service they are selling? |

QUOTE(JohnLai @ May 1 2017, 07:44 PM) Yup....when degree graduate student only earn RM1200 - 1500 in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri, even RM179 (189 after gst) UNIFI30 is unaffordable. ya, imagine if tm can offer unifi lite at RM99 without voice std20 and hypptv everywhere... I think most of us here dont really need those so called triple play service... Imagine this, RM1200 less EPF 11% less RM100 for electric/water/gas, less food costs, less job travel cost etc TM 1mbps streamyx at RM110 is already unaffordable as it is. And TM dare to wonder why internet penetration in sarawak + sabah is very low...... |

QUOTE(luqman98x @ May 2 2017, 07:23 PM) Finally my dad decided to apply for Unifi Lite at TMPoint Kota Bharu around 5pm today after he didn't receive any response from a TM agent that he inquired for days. Really? Why they wanna discriminate customers by state... But my dad is disappointed a bit because the TM guy said that the RM129 package (excluding STD20) is only available in certain states (exculding Kelantan). So he took the RM149 package instead. QUOTE(totally_skint @ May 2 2017, 07:46 PM) I dont think so leh, even if its possible then i think there will surely be penalty or something...Most successfully installed RM129 cases ive seen here are those with VDSL. Anyone successfully subscribed to RM129 fiber and already installed? |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ May 3 2017, 04:25 PM) RM25 is the monthly rental fee, but will be waived if subecribe to unifi, not sure about unifi LITE though...QUOTE(cucubud @ May 3 2017, 04:41 PM) From what I understand, this is to move your existing phone number to Unifi Lite account. U will have 2 phone numbers, one ordinary copper line number and one VOIP (Unifi) number. This one is to retain your Streamyx phone number for RM1 per month in addition to the Unifi Lite new phone number. You will have 2 phone numbers. QUOTE(elmond @ May 3 2017, 04:46 PM) No, those 2 phone numbers cannot campur campur 1. Copper line must remain on copper and vice versa.QUOTE(MGM @ May 3 2017, 05:00 PM) And yes, u will hv 2 phone numbers. And one more thing, copper line number cannot be ported to unifi (which means it has to remain and connected to copper), with a fee of RM1 per month. |

QUOTE(elmond @ May 3 2017, 05:56 PM) u means TM still not going to make the old numbers as VOIP, such a waste. Yes, it is just impossible to port ver old numebr as VOIP. Not sure about VDSL tho, i dont think so can port over.i can understand it's easy for fibre + copper but how the setup of VDSL user? QUOTE(totally_skint @ May 3 2017, 11:57 PM) Ya correct as i upgrade to unifi with new number but wanna retain old number.. pay only rm1 permonth and use it to receive call only.. RM1 = butir lengkap panggilan STD. phone line rental of RM25 is waived. Is the RM1 for phone line rental or is it for detailed bill for your fixed line? QUOTE(birain @ May 4 2017, 12:50 AM) What he mean is that since any usage is chargeable, he will just use the old number for receiving calls, since its free. Of course you can still make calls on that number, but that will be chargeable. This post has been edited by y561994: May 4 2017, 08:24 AM |

QUOTE(ClarenceT @ May 4 2017, 10:09 AM) Be patient. According to Broadband Improvement Plan announced in Oct16, TM will offer new Streamyx packages (Unifi Lite?) in June 2017. Gradually TM will install VDSL (FTTC/FTTN/FTTB) or offer Webe (or Fixed Wireless in the future) to replace ADSL for most of Streamyx customers. At the end, TM will retire ADSL or Streamyx services. It is just a matter of time. 10+ more years till streamyx completely disappear from msia.. |

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ May 4 2017, 11:52 AM) Believe me..., even after 2025, streamyx 1mbps will still exist with the monthly price of RM110/month. I don't see any sign of price reduction for 1 and 2 mbps package for the time being. Their strong point for high price of streamyx combo will be FREE CALL TO TM FIXED LINE NATIONWIDE and FREE TM WIFI yada yada yada! I've been complaining about SUBB around my area to MCMC and even after two weeks, they still don't give any feedback to my complaint. Seriously i dont think tm will lower streamyx price, that will hurt unifi sales. what they gonna do is the opposite, make unifi cheaper and hurt streamyx. |

QUOTE(JamesBotak @ May 4 2017, 12:28 PM) What the CS told you is not true, why? Because my area has Unifi and Streamyx. I was offered numerous times to upgrade to Unifi 30Mbps but I rejected the offer till April 21st when a Unifi promoter came to my house. Wow so great, wheres ur place? wondering whether can register thru him also.Well, I've successfully upgraded from Streamyx 8Mbps to Unifi Lite 10Mbps @ RM129/month (without voice). Here's the story: 1. April 21st, I was outside cleaning my house in the evening when a TM/Unifi promoter came and ask if I was interested to upgrade to Unifi Lite. I was suprised for a moment because I knew Unifi Lite hasn't officially launch yet. Regardless, I straight told him I'm interested and did the registration on the spot. The agent had the my card reader and his gadget to do the registration. 2. Same day I got confirmation email regarding the application and in the email it stated that installation will be on the 30th of April. 3. 27th April, I got a call from TM confirming the installation on the 30th. 4. 30th, installer came to fix the fibre cable and set everything up. Immediately my Unifi Lite was connected and I'm using it now. So far, DL speed is around 9.5Mbps, UL speed is 5.5Mbps, latency is 7-9ms. |
