QUOTE(totally_skint @ May 1 2017, 06:12 PM) Pity the agents. I think Internet is something that ppl cannot live without nowadays, so no matter the price. Minimally almost all household will have a plan from TM. So to TM, in terms of profit, it should not be any issues. They work on commission. Stay out in the sun the whole day - no customer - no money. And all because TM priced their services out of people's affordability level. I wonder how many of these agents themselves subscribe to the Unifi service they are selling? And for those who are unfortunately in an area that only has streamyx, given such low bandwidth, if there is unifi available, ppl will certainly go for it because comparing bandwidth vs price, unifi wins down still. |

Finally my dad decided to apply for Unifi Lite at TMPoint Kota Bharu around 5pm today after he didn't receive any response from a TM agent that he inquired for days.
But my dad is disappointed a bit because the TM guy said that the RM129 package (excluding STD20) is only available in certain states (exculding Kelantan). So he took the RM149 package instead. |

Really? Why they wanna discriminate customers by state... QUOTE(totally_skint @ May 2 2017, 07:46 PM) I dont think so leh, even if its possible then i think there will surely be penalty or something...Most successfully installed RM129 cases ive seen here are those with VDSL. Anyone successfully subscribed to RM129 fiber and already installed? |

QUOTE(y561994 @ May 2 2017, 08:06 PM) Really? Why they wanna discriminate customers by state... My dad did ask from a TM agent before and they said the RM129 is available. But, as i said before... they didn't call my dad for confirmation thingy. And I don't think it is possible to remove the STD20 after installation from what I heard from conversation between my dad and the TM guy at TMPoint recently. P/S: Our home is connected to VDSL cabinet (SUBB). This post has been edited by luqman98x: May 2 2017, 08:59 PM |

My agent source said that RM129 mostly valid for low cost flat, apartment. So, my place is landed, RM149 with voice now can apply, after he viewed the coverage. if he apply for me RM129 maybe TM HQ will reject my requested. RM149 already can lepas applied, but for RM129 will be 50:50 whether rejected or lepas. I already check with my nearest TMPoint, no point can check it for me last week. Failed. no coverage.
My area supported both, streamyx(1-8) and unifi(30-100). Btw, i'm used streamyx 4mbps, my contract will ended on september this year. Just wait and see until end of this month, I need to try check again. You can just straight away apply through TM agent, you might get better offer than TMpoint. QUOTE(haz_11 @ May 3 2017, 02:26 PM) Last Sunday, i went to TM agent booth after saw the promotion of unifi lite RM 149. At that poster says that this promotion valid for 3 days only. The promoter told me that Unifi lite Rm129 already over and i have to subscribe this RM 149. Today, after google this Unifi lite, the RM 129 still available. Called TM center to change the order from RM 149 to 129, But, sadly it cannot be done cz my order already proceed. Yes..many agent are liar...i ask so many agent all said no 129. Only one try apply for me..Demmit that agent lied to me. Cz currently i'm using 8mbps also don't use the phone. |

For those who upgraded from 8Mbps to Unifi Lite, do you get to retain your existing phone number?

QUOTE(blacktubi @ May 3 2017, 02:46 PM) Currently using streamyx. I have registered for Unifi Lite. Found this t&c 2. How will the all new UniFi benefit me? The all new UniFi will enhance customer experience by providing faster internet speed, more entertainment options, affordable voice packages and better service stability. The all new UniFi also allows customers to maintain their existing TM Phone number with NO additional fee. For more information, kindly visit your nearest TMpoint. When I refered this t&c to the CS who help me to register She said otherwise but if I want to keep my phone number in my Streamyx plan, what I can do is after the Unifi Lite is installed, go to their office to cancel the streamyx plan but ask to retain the old number but need to pay rm1, any call will be chargable, so I will use this to receive call only. |
