Mi Home app only connect to china server and the setting is in chinese only.
Mi dash cam app not yet officially release but can download from playstore, simple setting and update device available.

Why couldnt push update from my phone?

Actually, ive chose the wrong device (1st image)..look similar, but that why i cant connect my phone to mijia dashcam..

After i chose the right device icon (2nd image)..it can connect easily..

I bought the Samsung microSDXC UHS-1 Card 100 MB/s but behind the blister package it reads:

"...The warranty shall be void if used for any type of surveillance system..."

Does this mean the warranty is not valid if used with Mijia dashcam? Thank you.

Today I meet a careless driver before I enter Duke Highway from MRR2.
Suddenly the Vios turn into my lane and I almost hit the Vios.
Then I try to check back my mijia dashcam, I found out a problem.

1. I couldn't see clearly the registration number of the Vios on the right.
2. There is a lot of reflection on my car mirror caused the image look like blur.

PS: Ad bought Nimitz mount from coolstore. Hopefully it fix the reflection problem after I installed my mijia and set it from different angle.

How you guys that using mijia for rear recording get your power to power up mijia?

Long usb cable can be used? or other alternative?

beware that most of USB ports found in old vehicles are not designed to charge / power up electronic device but reserved for USB pen drive only.
You may facing the instability device, slow charge or burn car fuse / electrical board & wiring if used lower power standard USB output.

unless it specific for charging, then it safe to power up device.

After checked the setting... no, i didn't mute it
But i just notice when playing the video using android default video player there's no sound, when using pc there's no problem.....
Maybe the main problem is my phone can't decode the audio format

it's really troublesome the audio codec they use in their video cannot be play in Android phone... (play in PC got no issue and play with VLC android too). I wonder if iphone have this problem?

What video resolution do you guys usually set for everyday driving? I watched some videos here and only the 720p gives clear and sharp video quality. 360p is not clear and rather blurry.

I am having problems connecting the MiJia to MiHome app on my handphone.

I have tried most if not all the locales (from US, to Singapore and even Mainland China) but the device can't connect or update the firmware.

What is the latest firmware and version for the MiJia and MiHome respectively?
