hi guy..how do you connect from app to mijia ?

1. download mi home from QR code from manual
2. set region to mainland China
3. login to mi account
4. add a device (manually).

then still cant connect..im using huawei p9
*
Try to forget the Mijia wifi and manually add the Mijia wifi from your p9... Then try again with the Mijia app...

hi TS, not sure how you did the video download. Basically, I connect my iPhone to the Mijia, and then download the video from Mijia app. However, after the status says "download completed" I cannot find the video anywhere in my phone. Weird.
*
I didn't download the video as I watched via wifi on my S7 edge...

For downloads, I'll take out the microsd card and plug to my OTG card reader copy from there...

Any solution?

I succeeded with Media Player 10. Thanks a lot ! You have been real helpful.

'DIY'ed the installation today. Not too hard, cam is barely visible when I am driving BUT my film fell off cos I stuck part of the film on the dotted thingy behind my rearview mirror. Lucky my cable was securely attached to the cam otherwise  cry.gif

Was thinking if I should stick it directly on the dotted (what are those anyway? Sensors? hmm.gif  ) the next time it falls again.
*
That dotted area is just a design. If you're using suction cup, better don't stick there as there are air bubbles in there. No issue with tape mount on the dotted area.

Install vlc android player..and then it works for me..haha..
seems like my huawei stock video player have issue with the codec or audio format..
*
That's usually the case. I prefer MX player pro.

@blurjoey Curious to know have u done any comparison between xiaoyi 1296p 30fps vs mijia 1080p 30fps? Was wondering which quality is better?
*
In the first post in the videos, got Yi 30 fps vs Mijia 30 fps and Yi 60fps vs Mijia 30fps videos...

You mean 1296p 30fps = 1080p 60fps?
*
Yi dashcam's 1296p is interpolated. It's not native (not real) 1296p.

The vs videos are both 1080p 30fps vs and Yi's 1080p 60fps vs Mijia's 1080 30fps.

Guys, anyone got guide how to install dashcam in FL city? Where do we hide all the cables and connect to the Power
*
You can try this from this YouTube video, same as City. But do on the other side as the video is left hand drive.

I used this way for my City 2014 at first but have DIY install via the A pillar.

want to ask
is it normal that everytime i start the car, the date and time reset back to 0?
any workaround it?
*
Not suppose to reset to 0.

Can set the time again on the Mijia dashcam and and plug in the power for 10 mins. Then check later again?

How is the experience after the firmware updated to 1.0.11? Can a user choose not to update?
*
No problems with the new firmware.

No need to update if you don't want to.

Hi guys, i just recently purchased a xiaomi mijia dash cam. I transferred the video out from the cam wifi connection to my phone and it looks really clear when i tried to play it on my phone but then when I sent it over from my phone to facebook and tried to run it in my laptop, it looks blurr-ish and horrible, why so? Does the facebook compressed the file or something?

If we need high resolution video, do we need to transfer it directly from the memory card to laptop or so?

Thanks guys.
*
Inside have full res version and low res version for wifi streaming. Best to read the microSD card directly on computer.

Hi bro , @blurjoey whats the emergency function for since the standard one already rec everything. Do you recommend to disable it instead?

Thanks bro.
*
When you press the emergency button when the G sensor is not activated or saw something interesting, the dashcam will put that video file into the Event folder which won't be overwritten by the loop recording when the microSD is full.

I didn't find how much MPX this camera has

I set mine to LOW sensitivity cos even going thru a bump it will trigger the sensor when it was on HIGH. Worried that there will be no more space for recording if the EMERGENCY FOLDER is full since it won't be deleted. Best to delete the videos in emergency folder periodically.
*
Yeah only Low and High... Wish have Medium would be good.

Just want to know whether this micro sd card suitable for mijia or not ???

Samsung 64GB 100MB/s Micro SD Evo Plus Class 10 MicroSDXC UHS-I U3 4K

Price around 106. Is it valuable to purchase this card ???

Thank you.
*
I'm using Samsung Evo Plus in all my cams now. There is a new version where it is UHS-3 but 64GB and 128GB.
