Actually, both is different dashcams... Xiaomi and XiaoYi have split up d... Both is a separate entity on its own...

This is the new Xiaomi dashcam under their Mijia branding... It's brand new under Xiaomi...

Anyway,kopiPeng is a trusted seller that I buy my Xiaomi stuffs from... I just clarify some details the dashcams

this dash cam fully operate in chinese? ANy possible way to have it in english?

this mijia cam comes with any built in battery like xiao yi ? Xiao yi still able to record another 5-10 mins after we left the car.

The permanently installed 240 mAh battery serves as a reserve only. If, for example, the MIJIA Dash Cam is awakened by the G-sensor in the parked state and without the vehicle power source, the camera is able to record a short clip of the action by the battery.

After using for a week, here are my review and comparison for this 2 dashcam. Basically they are very similar. I'm using both for my family cars.

Both have cons and pros.

XiaoMi MiJia Dashcam

Pros
- Using better lens and Sony image sensor
- more stylish design

Cons
- Slight expensive than XiaoYi (~RM270)
- Unstable software / app
- Sometimes hard to connect to app
- Touch button (personally prefer physical button)
- 160 Angle Degree
- Gets hot quicker than XiaoYi (Hopefully fix in future firmware)


XiaoYi Dashcam (Youth Edition)

Pros
- Simple & Straight forward interface (Easy using)
- Cheaper (~RM210)
- Slightly wider angle (165Degree)
- Phone app in full English (Android & iOS)

Cons
- Image less clear if compared to MiJia (but image still consider decent for this price)


Conclusion:

If you can read Chinese & more budget. Go for MiJia.

Else XiaoYi is a very decent car camera with the best price performance ratio available in market.
