when come back I will write a full report in English and hope many here who don't understand Chinese can read it. Lazy to use Chinese after this. Hahaha

West Coast = Major Cities.
East Coast = Seaside, Natural Beauty.

Take your pick.

I went for West Coast backpacking before, can't wait to go for the East Coast trip in the near future.

I'm planning for a trip 2 Taiwan via dis Air Asia promotion, its between May to Oct next year.May I noe which month would be best to visit Taiwan? I'm not quite familiar with Taiwan season change. Which season would be best to visit Taiwan? Tq. As most of us noe chinese, so wouldn't be a problem with communication. How many days would it be to visit popular destinations in Taiwan?

7 days round Island? wow...

I spent 11 days only for Taipei, TaiChung, Tainan, Kaoshiung.
Ken Ding was called off due to the typhoon hit Taiwan on mid-July 2009.

Was lucky that I was not in Taiwan when the strong typhoon hit recently.

11days is only possible if DIY trip or free and easy.

I bring the whole family which include elders and children there and I want everything prearranged. The longest Taiwan tour package offered by tour operators is 7 days.

Hi, I spent 11 days for Taichung, Kaoshiung, Kenting, Taipei.
If you only focus on Taipei, i think 6 days is more than enough.
Personally, i feel that Taichung Fengjia is a nice place for makan-makan.
Kaoshiung for sight seeing, Kenting for Beach Lover, Taipei for shopaholic!!

Not recommend to go for one day trip. It is very time consuming and tiring.
As from Taipei to Taichung takes about 2 hours, then from Taichung transfer to Sun Moon Lake takes another 2 hours. Unless you have private transport!!
Taroko at East side. Not reachable by any MRT or HSR. You have to take bus or train to reach there.
I never been there yet. Planning for next trip to focus on East side!!
