i can walk very long on flat land but not uphill. i walk the most when i travel. 1 day of travelling = 1 week of walking during normal days XD

izit possible to do taroko tour in 1 day from taipei? i know from taipei to hualien train takes about 2hrs +. or izit advisable to stay a nite in hualien instead?

i found this hostel provide tour+ accommodation but not sure if the price is reasonable.

about 2.5 hours per way from taipei to hualien if u take the fastest train (Tze chiang express). So 5 hours on travelling on day trip only. + time transfer from train station to your destination

one person=1250, whole car for 4 person=5000
better get other tour that cost 3000/per car, also 8 hour tour, you can discuss with the driver where you wanna go..
overnite at hualien also not bad,not that rush, den back to taipei next morning at 9am,arrive tapei around 12pm or 1pm(that was my schedule last time) you may ask the driver bring you guys to some pasar malam at there, some hostel that very nice actually, 1 bed=1nite=around 500-600, very clean and nice environment(10-15min walk from hualien train station).

erm...i think so..
every train that you take, they have their own train no. , if you want take from taipei to hualien,i will suggest you to take early morning train, which is express(you may check at the website), if you miss out the express train,u travel time will more than 3-4 hours reach hualien..
you can choose from their website, and pay online the ticket by visa, after you arrive taipei, go and collect that ticket first or you reach 30min early to take you ticket..
and *if you plan to take their bullet train, you may book early(10-15days of your travel date and get 30% discount i think so)

Last, of cuz, u need to plan ur iternary betul betul confirm first..

hope you understand what i write... nod.gif

1250 is including accommodation in hualien. because there are only 2 of us, if take 3000/car each person will be 1500 dy.

Hi all,

I'm planning to go to Taiwan in Oct this year.

However, not sure whether I should sign up for round island tour with travel agency or free-and-easy.

I'm that afraid round island tour will be tiring as we have to rush to visit numerous places as per the itenery. Besides, the fee charged for round island tour also quite expensive.

Anyone can share thier experience?

Hi.

Anybody been to Xinshe township which is 40 minutes away from Taichung city. Now me trying to arrange from Cinjing going to there 1st or Taichung City to Xinshe.

Xinshe township - article.
http://www.taiwanfun.com/central/taichung/.../0407Xinshe.htm

Xinshe heard there are these two interesting places:-

1.Tea time go for Princess Annie Garden
http://annie.mmmtravel.com.tw/?ptype=info

2.Dinner at Master of Mushroom

We went to Xinshe before (in March 2011) to visit the Lavender Cottage and Castle. I tell u it's very far far but is worthy to go if you have sufficient time. The mushroom there is the best in Taiwan Island.

Cing Jing and Xin She are in different route. I would suggest u go to XinShe first then go to Cing Jing. (if you have 3D/2N) else you may need to drop either one of them. It's mountain route after the Highway. (macam going to Cameron Highland)

U r welcome! Wanna you to save your transportation cost/time. We plan wrongly in our previous trip which from CingJing then to Xinshe. Therefore we don't wants you to plan wrongly. The right plan would be Taizhong --> Xinshe --> CingJing. Both Xinshe and Cing Jing, I also like it. icon_rolleyes.gif
