Haha, thanx for the heads up. For me, one step at a time. Will tryout mobilego first then see how. Will check out BAT later.

what about jihan wu?
*
Someone you should keep an eye on if you care for Bitcoin. laugh.gif

He's the CEO of Bitmain, who supply ASIC machine to mine Bitcoin, worldwide.

Jihan, Roger Ver, and ViaBTC oppose Segwit & Lightning Network, and support on-chain scaling. They believe that bigger blocksize is the way to scale Bitcoin, that there should be no limit on Bitcoin's blocksize, hence the name BitcoinUnlimited.

Many argued that BitcoinUnlimited will eventually result in mining centralization (the one who control largest hashpower, has economic advantage over others). To put simply, if Bitcoin network is centralized into 1 large miner (or pool), what happen if theres an external intervention (eg governmnt, central bank)? icon_rolleyes.gif

My observations so far. Feel free to clarify/dispute. rolleyes.gif

Is it possible to trade BTC to other coins using XBit Asia? I couldn't find the info on alternative coin after logging in.

Nope. Xbit Asia is only trading BTC. To trade BTC to other coins, you need to use other exchanges like Poloniex.

Check out first page for more info. wink.gif

but jihan is evil
*
He's protecting his own interest, which likely will put Bitcoin to jeopardy. With BitcoinUnlimited hardfork, Bitcoin may end up no different with central banks, someone or a group of pple controling or having significant influence on Bitcoin development.

Bitcoin has to stay decentralized, secured, immutable and open source. As it always does so far. smile.gif

The SEC is Now Weighing an Ethereum ETF Proposal : http://www.coindesk.com/sec-now-weighing-e...m-etf-proposal/

QUOTE
The SEC has quietly begun the process of weighing whether to approve an exchange-traded fund (ETF) for the cryptocurrency ether (ETH).

The backers of the EtherIndex Ether Trust first filed in July 2016, seeking to launch an ETF backed by a cache of ethers on the NYSE Arca exchange. NYSE Arca then filed for a proposed rule change clearing the way for the ETF listing in December, according to a notice published in January.

A new notice from the SEC reveals that the agency has begun weighing whether it will approve the proposed ETF.

The agency remarked in the notice:

"Institution of such proceedings is appropriate at this time in view of the legal and policy issues raised by the proposed rule change. Institution of proceedings does not indicate that the Commission has reached any conclusions with respect to any of the issues involved. Rather, as described below, the Commission seeks and encourages interested persons to provide comments on the proposed rule change."

The potential launch of an ether ETF – though subject to final approval – would mark the latest development in the ether's market, following recent price increases that have seen the value of 1 ETH rise above $50.

The SEC is also seeking comments on which approach it should take, though notably, a previous comment solicitation went unanswered, according to the agency.

It remains to be seen whether the SEC moves to approve the proposed ETF. In the past month and a half, the SEC has rejected rule changes that would have cleared the way for two bitcoin ETFs from being listed, citing concerns over market surveillance and insufficient regulation.

A representative for EtherIndex did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

but CORE is evil too, silencing, and wont acknowledge u cant buy coffee wif bitcoin
*
But so far Core's arguments abt scaling got many support. Those who against lately were found not credible.
Eg ViaBTC. After 2yrs debating n blocking segwit, they admit that they just recently read abt segwit documentations. They posted on twitter and deleted it shortly after.

Microtransactions shld be possible with segwit & lightning. Lets see what happen to LTC.

Good morning! biggrin.gif Not really good morning for altcoins today huh? Gamecredits rally fell flat. Mobilego raised only 4.6 million so far. USD problem at bitfenix and Polo still not resolved, making BTC prices higher there (and even in bittrex)! vmad.gif

My funds are all tied up. Invested 0.4 BTC in mobilego. Moved some funds from NAV to Strat. You know, high to low. Other than that, hope for something exciting today! biggrin.gif

It's amazing how big the spread is between USDT and USD now, despite the fact that they were originally supposed to be pegged.
I did the same, cashing out some of the profits from the highs, and loading up a bit on the lows.

Yeah, I suspect BTC will drop a bit once the fiat withdrawal problem is resolved.

Ya ya! I need to stop purely hodling everything. Would be good to rebalance my portfolio when a coin makes a significant run. More fun too! biggrin.gif

I think better to just scrap USDT alone...

Let local bitcoin site help escrow the exchange of fiat to btc/etc currency and the exchange just focus on all crypto currency only

Agreed. smile.gif
But, to be traded directly with fiat is a major necessary step for any altcoin imo.
LTC listing to Coinbase, ETFs, countries adopting altcoins as 'legal tender'. Anything to get fiat exposure.

You know what, I am actually thinking to move all my coins away from Poloniex now.
You can never be sure what is going to happen when there is a lawsuit. They might temporarily suspend their services, or worse.
I don't need that kind of risk.

interesting, poloneix kena sue? sorry can read the passage as my office block it.... currently im mining directly into my poloneix account, trade it into btc and lend out the excess i have. if poloneix closing down, i might need to shift my eth and btc elsewhere or hold it myself. yeah too lazy to hold these coin in my own wallet ....

It'll be denied, the next run up is largely depending on raiden and EEA. Segwit single handedly pump LTC.

No more delays plz

Haha.
Anyway, it's very easy to get updates from Google these days......I'm just lazy.

Nah, I don't think Poloniex will close down, it's not that serious yet, but in any case, you shouldn't be holding your BTC and ETH stashes on an online exchange anyway.
Too dangerous.

im not investor, i just happen to mine directly into poloneix, trade it, hold/lend out until i feel like cashing out to pay my bills. not much, just roughly RM1,000 worth of coins. unless i plan to hold for long run, else im just too lazy to hold inside my wallet and transfer here and there all the time.
