Nope. Xbit Asia is only trading BTC. To trade BTC to other coins, you need to use other exchanges like Poloniex.

Check out first page for more info. wink.gif

My apologies.. must have mixed up the bitcoins threads and missed out the Poloniex section.

So, we have to

1. buy BTC from Xbit Asia,
2. transfer BTC from Xbit to Poloniex,
3. trade BTC to ETH in Poloniex
4. transfer ETH from Poloniex to personal wallet

Is that right?

It'll be denied, the next run up is largely depending on raiden and EEA. Segwit single handedly pump LTC.

No more delays plz

Yup. For trading BTC to ETH, there's a lot of exchanges for that, not only Poloniex. Here, take a look at exchanges/websites dealing with ETH : https://www.cryptocompare.com/coins/eth/markets/BTC

Great! Stratis is recovering but NAV is also going up at the same time! Hope I can jump from Stratis back to NAV! dry.gif

Wow......I haven't been looking closely for the past few days, and NAVcoin just shot up over the last 2 days.
What happened there?
What's the news?

Just read from trollbox. This one maybe : http://navcoin.org/news/nav-coin-4-0-2-seg...rprise-release/

Edit : Haha, too late to buy back. sweat.gif Luckily traded less than 10% of my NAV. NAV to the moon! thumbup.gif

Even after so many hacking incidents and all exchanges have been much more careful and vigilant, there are still hack and theft cases happening even today.
Please be extra careful with your investments and always put your stash in hardware wallets.
Never put more than what is needed for trading, on online exchanges.

Made me worry of my coin. I have been kept it at Poloniex all these while, with 2 factor identification so I thought it will be safe?

As long as your coins are stored on an online exchange connected to the internet, they are never really truly safe.
A system that is 99.9% secure just means that you have a 0.1% security risk.
It all depends on your risk appetite, really...... how comfortable you are leaving them on the exchange versus how much you loathe the trouble of transferring them to your hardware wallet.

And remember one important fact.
If you don't control the private keys to your coins, they are not really truly yours.

the only time you're truly safe is you and only you having possessions of the private keys.

exchanges are like public toilets, get in, do your business, get out.

so if I want to keep ETH I can buy the ledger as in your signature? So the ledger will contain whatever ETH I have transferred from Poloniex?

Yes, of course I do.
But because back then I was only accumulating bitcoin, the hardware wallet that I bought could only support bitcoin (CoolWallet).
These days, I recommend you get the Ledger Nano S.
Hardware wallets don't actually store "coins", but rather they store the private keys to your coins.
Always remember, whoever holds the private keys, control and own the coins.

Yes, the Ledger hardware wallet supports BTC, LTC, Zcash, ETH and all ERC20 based tokens via MyEtherWallet.

Just keep your PIN and 24 word seed secure and you can plug it on any virus infested computer and transact without worry.

True, but if you had been buying ETH instead of BTC from early March, your profit would have been 300% instead of 30%. thumbsup.gif
I bought both though......so still, pretty happy with myself. rclxms.gif

So far i wouldnt bet on any other alt coin surpassing btc as the mother of cryptocurrency.....

U can try 4-5 other biggest market cap coin behind btc....

Well my advice is to spread some on btc and other promising alt coin.

Im not holding much either.

Ppl think btc is too expensive already. But u can always start from buying just 0.1 or 0.2 btc....

If winklevoss btc etf is approved...that is just an official floodgate for institutional fund to pour money into btc....

Also IMF and some government have even open up to an idea of having btc as one of their reserve peg currency....

ohmy.gif

There may come a day when even 0.1 btc will cost u 10,000-25,000 usd in the future... sad.gif

In Malaysia, you cannot buy ETH directly using MYR, you have to procure BTC first and then trade it.
There are many online exchanges that can easily let you trade your BTC to ETH.
Personally, I use Poloniex, but there are so many exchanges for you to choose from, check out the first page for more info.

USD 10k per BTC is very much possible.
The question is when.
And that will depend heavily on how things unravel over the next few months, whether there will be any real solution to the current stalemate.
And also how widely adopted BTC will become, and whether the world governments will finally open up and recognise it as legal tender, as Japan has recently done.

In fact I personally believe it is an inevitable progression......it is no longer possible for the world to go back to the days before cryptocurrency, just like how the world can no longer go back to the days before internet.

Waw! USD 10000, I will also be rich. I have 0.5 btc in my hardware wallet. bruce.gif

At the moment, localbitcoins and Remitano has horrible rates. I think taking advantage of the USDT problem. Xbit Asia has better rates. dry.gif

Anyway, except for NAV and NEM, quite a boring day. Yesterday, move some bits from NAV to Strat then to Dcr. Waiting for Dcr to rise before moving elsewhere. Kills the boredom..... yawn.gif
