Bitcoin vs ether ? Which one have better prospectus ?

I read that ethereum have more integration n function, and might get more popular compared to bitcoin now.

Btw, any experience coin trader out there which had made a real trade on these coin? Wanted to listen more real experience and also trustable sites to perform the trades.

Regret selling ETH at 247 in CEX.IO 5 hours ago. Hope ETH will correct soon so can go in again. SC seems holding. Not sure for how long.

You can register and deposit money at coinhako, then withdraw to your xfers account. The money from coinhako to xfers is instant.

You just need to put your email of your xfers account at coinhako withdrawal.

https://www.xfers.com/sg/

Please sign up your xfers.io account using your email and singapore hand phone.

That is the only workaround since xfers maybank account had problem with bank transfer.

OK thanks. Though i am more of looking at transferring from Xfers to Coinhako rather than Coinhako to Xfers.

Coinbase buy rate is definitely cheaper than coinhako.

Just that we use coinhako as proxy to transfer to xfers and buy from coinbase

There's some info in front page on your questions, #5 post.

I'm not a pro in trading but more of a long term investor. I think bitcoin will still go up. India is making a decision in 1-2 months and i think many are waiting for this decision. My feeling is that India will accept bitcoin provided it is regulated. If accepted, the price will probably rise further. Bitcoin is also in the midst of settling it's scaling issue. August 1st is the date to watch. Howevee, many thinks the problem wont be so easily settled.

Ethereum is the next world wide web. It has huge amounts of progress and support. The value, however, is anybody's guess. If bitcoin is the benchmark, ETH price is still low.

If you get both, i think you cant go wrong in the long term. My 0.00002BTC opinion only wink.gif

I think more needs to be said regarding the cost of transaction and the upcoming BIP148 chain split on August 1st

It's now $2.60 for a 10-20 min BTC confirmation

Versus $0.02 for a 90 sec ETH confirmation.

I've noticed an alarming amount of former bitcoiners buying in at $220-240 just yesterday.

Adjusted my portfolio to 0 BTC yet again, might as well grab another condo.

Our man WooTz said earlier......once ETH reaches USD 300, he will retire.
And our friend here is not even 30 yet this year!

By comparison, to do the same, I need ETH to reach USD 5000...... sad.gif
Who knows, it might even be possible in due time!

Bitcoin is not an investment. Theres no prospectus.
But I think many people may have misinterpreted white paper as prospectus (altcoins, ICOs).
I get that Eth might get as popular as Bitcoin, as someone or a corporate willing to fund Eth marketing.

But Bitcoin, on the other hand, is not a company. No one advertised Bitcoin. Govts and mainstream media have tried to 'kill' Bitcoin for 129 times

Im no trader but hey, no harm investing on ETH, if you believe in it. It is indeed investing in a company shares. At some point, whats going up so fast will come down even harder, just dont forget to sell when you make enough profit.

Have more Bitcoin = more money/wealth.

Aha, can calculate how much you have. tongue.gif

Say, are you starting a new thread soon? I'm actually on vacation so won't be able to help out until
Saturday. Let's make the new thread a proper one and we can request goldfries to see whether it can be pinned. smile.gif

Personally, I have no particular love for any particular cryptocurrency.
I put my money into whichever vehicle that can help me reach my ultimate objective of adequately and sufficiently providing for my family and hopefully retiring early.
In the current scenario, I have both BTC and ETH, because I honestly believe in the actual use cases of both of them.

I have a specific number in mind, after taking into consideration my current income and expenditure, my projected cost for children's education, family obligations, etc.
Actually, come to think of it, the number should be lower, since I did not account for my holdings in other coins. If Bitcoin goes ballistic as many experts predicted, I might be able to retire hopefully within the next 10 years? (All these talks about bitcoin reaching USD 100,000 and all)

Whatever I have will definitely be much much lower than your holdings, because I was "kiasi" and did not listen to you when you were buying all the various altcoins earlier which have skyrocketed several thousand percent profit...... cry.gif

I was thinking of opening the new thread once it reaches 250 pages, but not to worry, I think we can wait till you're back (actually I just came back from vacation myself).
What I'll do is, I will open the thread with a few "reserved" empty posts on the first page, and then we can populate them in the same manner we did with this thread. Sounds OK to you?
