your rear wont stop bouncing after going through bump? then the shock are blown.
please dont inject to your old shocks
a simple search in shoppe can get u the product.
RS ultra rear a pair under rm200 can get innm.
recommend to go for rs ultra.
athough is quite a alot stiffer than original but hell lot more stable which is worth it.

Jln Ipoh, SM Mechanical. Call to check price and stock before going. Buy there then get your workshop to fit. You won't regret with RS Ultra, I using it for 5years now. Front 2nd set, Rear still 1st set.

Hi all sifu, my car avanza 2005 m,  does any one encounter air filter soaking wet?  How the water go in the air filter?  Izzit from the filter box?  I have check there's no crack or hole, pls help thanks
*
Did you wash engine? Do not send to shop to wash, they spray with jet end up water may have got in. Also, maybe air filter cover not fitted properly. Air filter got a rubber seal, if not seated properly then water and dirt can get in. Recheck the filter installed. Also, don't wash your engine with pressure spray.

Decide to buy Century Marathoner cause the NS60 size higher CCA then Amaron Go. Do consider buy online from shopee. Baterihub price is very good and service. Bought it at 12noon, the came and installed finished by 2pm. They got lots of branch in Klang valley. Let's see how long this century battery can last.

I used to encounter severe understeer phenomenon with Avanza, only to realise Avanza's factory recommended wheel alignment specifications in a way promotes understeer, not so much of oversteer.
Having said this I did encounter oversteer once, several years ago on a rainy day.

I think oversteer will roll over. If raining day u feel oversteer possible due to lost of traction.

When I first got my avanza, the rear absorbers were performax so I am unsure if during that time what condition it was. Saved up enough to change to Greber which were much thicker compared to the performax. The feeling it gives me was that it was more planted as I drove it out of the workshop in Kepong. Loved that feeling  thumbup.gif

As such, I am not sure how a new performax absorber would perform since I have no such experience and hope you can share with us here once you have it installed.

Alternatively, there are shops that help you to change the oil inside your shock absorbers. I have tried it on my Axia but because it was so light at the back, it was uncomfortable. I ended up having to buy another pair of original Axia absorbers. This might also work for Avanza but will be through trial and error or need advice from the workshop itself.

I checked back a past post and noticed that I have typed the brand name wrongly because everytime I search for Greber, it seem to come out as red colour absorbers whereby mine is yellow. Last I noticed my shock absorbers are called Gabriel after checking further and confirmed the sticker location on the yellow absorber with the link below. Sorry ladies and gentlemen for the confusion all these while.

Depends on tyre condition, rain, road, absorber too. There is no fix speed that it will happen. Largely depends on your driving experienced. Like I whack on sprint, I'm used to the road, so I know how much I can push the car. Like last time I drove hilux took a corner at junction between jln ampang and tun razak. Hilux start to drift roll on the wet road. So I know I push a little too much. Anymore likely will roll over. Safest bet, don't go too fast lah.

I fitted Gabriel before on my land rover. It was ok due to the heavy weight land rover. But for avanza I feel might be too stiff. Anyway, happy with RS so not going to risk myself try others. biggrin.gif
