How to trade stocks? In other word, goreng

Dont need to goreng to trade stocks, buy stocks with strong uptrend momentum and hold until the momentum gone only.

Try recovery and plantation counters.

Can also la, whichever that you think the upward momentum is intact, hentam and pray only
I suggested
1. recovery - because of the recovery theme
2. plantation - because of the rising CPO price

To me, most of the techs to me are a bit too pricy though

I don't really trust recovery theme especial steel and hospitality counter which are still making loss

I rather buy current fundemental intact company. You can trade based on fundemental. Nothing wrong with that... Although sometimes it will be very slow

MI !

anyway can see the descending triangle.. looks bearish at the moment.

BUT the pull back was done on lower volume..and the stock is now consolidating.

Have to watch 3.8x support level..if breakdown, it is likely to attract additional sellers.

However, it can also be an opportunity to take position...

P/S UWC more interesting  biggrin.gif

almost to the tip already.....
it's gotta show us which way it wants to break .....

like i said... this type of stock cannot be early.... gotta respect the descending triangle.... and then watch which side it breaks out .... sweat.gif

So does it mean if it doesn't break the support and there's enough volume with green candles after a few days, it can reverse and turn bullish. Then only we react rather than anticipate?

Generally descending triangle is bearish...

Google descending triangle bearish...

Then Google descending triangle bullish...

Then you will understand that despite the triangle is a bearish sign, breakouts to the upside can happen.

Which means technically it can go either way....

If u are in early and the stock does breakout, then u untung lo.. but if it breaks down... then u early early buy ticket to feel the stock go down... it doesn't sound smart, yes?

So it's better to wait...

If it breakdowns... u lose nothing....
If it breakouts.. u chase lo... see where u mau enter... yes you be paying a few bids higher.. but that's like insurance.

Give you another example... that Maybank example....

That downtrend channel was mentioned by me on Oct 2019.

Now from a traders perspective, down channels ... it's bearish ... and the stock will trade lower as per the channel.

Now despite being bearish, when the stock does breakout from the channel, that's a bullish indicator. Yes?

So assuming you have the bullish reason and you want to trade it ... so you anticipate ....
You dive in early ....

Look at the consequences... saw how long the stock continued trending lower?
One year plus...
the price of anticipating ....

Now if you react...
where was the breakout point?
7.90

See the difference?

But this topic is fascinating for me, till this very day. Not all setups are the same... sometimes it's better to anticipate... sometimes no.

Yup .... what should happen, happened. smile.gif

It's interesting the situation...

I can't understand why some wants to be in ... (there's similarity with Unisem. Unisem had losses cos they had to write off their bad investment... once it was taken completely off its books .... profits will surge)

But then ... the naughty chart ... lol.... showed the bears within the stock. laugh.gif

So how?

Lemme guess... you will be basing on value soon..... tongue.gif

No sexy stories / catalyst to drive MI's price up...

It is still trading at below average volume.. lack of volume.

Unless the board gatal want to play those "bonus issue" game , to spice things up a little bit to attract punters tongue.gif

The chart clearly showing only 1 direction as for now, no buy signal yet... wait for trend reversal lo hmm.gif

But what if... the reversal is a bear flag mega_shok.gif and stock price continue to dive.

See .. this is why trading is always exciting ....

If you are interested ... watch the candles... if the reversal candle is sighted tomorrow ... it should attract some ......
