Hi all,
I am currently on ADV 30 plan, with the old L7 router from 4 years ago. Recently I am getting a lot issues to connect to wifi, or frequently disconnected from wifi. It happened on all type of devices - multiple smartphones, smart TV, Android TV box, laptop.

The weird things is that all these issues happened only after 11pm. My laptop which never have issues with WIFI connection for the last 3+ years are getting very frequent drop WIFI connection issue, and having difficulty to reconnect after disconnected. HyppTV is getting disconnected like every 5 mins or so. Rebooting the router and BTU doesn't fix the issue at all. without doing anything - everything is back to normal in the next morning.

Another observation is that by connecting to my home WIFI, sometimes google map / Pokemon Go apps are showing a different location at another Taman ~ 1km away, and may jumping back and forth between my actual location and that "new" location - same "new" location everything it happened. I've never experienced this before until recently.

Not sure if anyone has similar experiences with all the weird things happened around midnight only, and back to normal at other hours. I've absolutely no clues on what is actually happening now.

Call TM to change router.

Are u eligible for the free speed upgrade

Your contract might be renewed but hey, you're not going to change providers anyway, save cost instead of buying a new router.

Request for router with external antenna.

Seems TM is giving out the TP Link AC1200

Getting 10Mbps download speed instead of 50Mbps at USJ area after free upgrade. Any idea on this issue?

Update. I am now eligible for the free speed upgrade after checking the thankyousurprise microsite today !

I reckon it maybe due to their systems needing some time after the installation to update certain areas, before it shows up in the microsite. Regardless, I am so damn glad that I didn't take any of the previous offer. I was thinking of doing so by end of this month.

So guys, if you're still getting the non-free speed upgrade offer even though you have Unifi installed in Feb, try checking back the microsite at later dates.

are you guys worried about EM radiation from the router?

The router is just 4 feet away from the place i sleep , and sometimes don't feel very comfortable with the distance

My humble suggestion, switch off your router when u sleep or change the position.

Guys, I just recheck again on the TM Thank you surprise.

And viola, the speed upgrade option is there. From 30Mbps to 50Mbps.

But the upgrade will be starting from July 2017.

Guess, better than nothing.

But can you downgrade to cheaper hypptv packages

it's a pain to wait until july but at least it's confirmed

Do the homeplugs work with 3-phase supply?

It will not work well if both socket is on different phase.

Surprisingly my RT-N12U works very well now with adv50, havent had any downtime for about a week now.

Used to be very unstable, ping fluctuate, 10-28 for DL on adv30
