Its for future ISP like Maxis, Unifi, TIME and other.

So you cannot directly plug in the port. Must have router to do account authentication etc.

Hi, could someone tell me whether can directly plug the ethernet cable to the btu lan port instead of the router? If cannot then can I know what's the lan port of the btu for? TQ.

Hmmmm....but you are getting >30Mbps down, which is nice. On the upload speed, dunno why but is it critical to you? For most of us, download speed is what matters more
*
Yah upload is not really that important, just puzzled me when I ran the speedtest.

You're on landed? I got mine a while ago. P.perdana area. But now my line has been down for 2 days lol

For the LAN, that's probably the max even with new router. At times maybe your speed test can show 48-48. But for wifi, try to improve your home wifi design by analyzing first how to improve link speeds around the house before jumping straight onto a new wifi router without analyzing actual needs in the first place.

This is because sometimes, newly purchased router actually performs just slightly better than stock which doesn't justify then new purchase. If you opt for things like powerline then use wifi ap, then maybe you'll actually be improving the network quality on average as linkspeed can be improved.

ya im on landed, same area with you but have not facing any unifi issue in these few days ~ lucky me

hmm for some weird reason, all apple device in my house will have around 35-38, other device like my laptop & xiaomi easily reach 45 - 47Mbps hmm.gif

Im using TP-Link WR1043ND btw.

Is your router set to 40Mhz? Apple devices will only use 20Mhz channel width at 2.4Ghz so maybe that's why. But even then it should be able to reach 80-90 mbps in good wifi conditions. Laptop & Xiaomi probably using 40Mhz.

Yeah, 20, 40 or auto, Apple products, even MacBook Pros will only use 20Mhz at 2.4Ghz. Steve Jobs say one.
