Why do Sony's phone bezels get bigger and bigger each year? It will be nice if they put in an infinity screen as all the rest of the specs are good.

not defending the bezels but when playing games horizontally, it is much more comfortable than a near-to-no-bezel phone. plus, there are some hardware beneath the screen.
all this bezeless hype is just only a design cue.

But does it need to get bigger each year, very soon bezels will be bigger than the screen.

Yes I know, but still too big when other phones can do it in smaller form factor. For me will be perfect if top and bottom bezels are eliminated. Now it looks exactly like Xiaomi Mi 3 which is few years old already.

if so, when hold the phone will mistouch the screen or not?! as far as i heard from my friends that using S7 edge, will mistouch the screen sometimes.. but need to used to it a while then no problem already..

when come to bezel..i find out most ppl are bias... iphone got big bezel but i din heard any1 complain but mostly compliments..when sony got bezel..lot complaints like: out date la...big untill can park a plane on it la..bla bla bla... i m sure everything come with purposes(lesser chance mistouch screen, stereo speaker &ETc) else those phone designer can balik kampung tanam jagung d. of cos i dun mind smaller bezel but not totally eliminate it

S7edge yes. S8 no, for two reasons.

1. S8 has a slight not so profound curve, compared to the S7e.

2. Software helps by not recognizing mistouches.

True, but when u compare to a lower end phone from the same manufacturer, the XA1, you have all rights to complain.

Iphone on the other hand, one dimension size je so take it or leave it.

People choose apple because of branding and software not the bezel but when u compare an Xperia zp you are comparing with every single Android phone in the market.

Sony bezel is very huge especially for a 5.5inch screen means the phone is huge. Smaller the bezel the bigger viewing size.

S8 already did it even so thin and curve edge there no mistouch. Eliminate the bezel give you a floating screen effect.

Xperia Zp looks outdated because most phone bezel getting smaller while this phone get bigger
