For those who are planning on using the XZ Premium naked, do be aware that the glass portion of the phone can be slippery. My XZ P just fell from 1 feet. Placed it on a plastic stool, didn't realised and it slide off.

On flat surfaces, the top/bottom metal lips will hold it in place, but on smooth surfaces that in contact with the glass back more than the lips, it can slide around very easily.

it's the oleophobic coating. that's why it is very slippery.
nevertheless, still beware of the said case.

In your hands it's not slippery, but on some specific surfaces, especially matte plastic, the ones you find on those hard surface gaming mouse pads.

Just a heads up to other owners, at least this was from 1 feet, so nothing serious. Can't imagine if it was from a higher height.

Just curious.. after installing the tempered glass (the one came free ).. I find my phone not as responsive anymore.. is that normal? do you guys face the same issue?
*
Same goes to here. And the adhesive sucks and don't clear off after a day.

By the way the camera app seems to be laggy when use the default superior auto mode. Anyone? Battery life also like not that lasting as I expected, without power saving mode the battery like draining water.

For such a small sensor and given the fact it's 30fps it's like that.

Very innovative technology but the usability not there yet.

To achieve super slow mo, the shutter speed need to achieve a certain high level, therefore if you filming at somewhat dark place, there is no way the aperture and ISO to compensate the light loss of fast shutter speed. Should be around 1/1000 shutter speed. I'm guessing this is what happen.

so literally I have to use it in broad daylight else it doesnt work at all??
My room is fully lit, but with the super slomo, I cant even take a decent video, its full of noise and its like somehow my room aint even having any lights. LOL

Try turn off predictive capture, since the phone is taking pictures in background so you can choose for the perfect shot.
And try use for a few days. Like other smartphones, it will 'learn' your usage to adapt to it.

If you use indoor with fluorescent light, it get even worse you will see your shot flickering due to the light emitting in certain frequency, then your shot is faster than that. Perhaps don't use super slow mo at night?

Any screen protector recommendation for XZ Premium?
I see a lot of complains regarding the one from Sony, also some other brands will cause screen not sensitive… Not sure which to use…
