It's hard to choose a winner but personally I will pick GTX 1060 over RX 580 for 1080p gaming.

Any good computer store in Subang that helps people to assemble PC? Am looking to bring some parts there and also buy some parts from them to reassemble my aged pc.

Also, what's a good HSF for i7-8700? Not planning to overclock. Just want something quiet and cools okie.

Just another question...
For Rig B, if my friend wants to change from 1080 SC 2 to Ti, any difference?

You don't really need a good AIO to cool the 8400. So just anything that looks good to you will do wink.gif

CPU: INTEL CORE I5-8400 RM 720.00
COOLER: COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB RM 299.00
MOBO: MSI B360M MORTAR RM 362.00
RAM: GEIL SUPER LUCE RGB SYNC 16GB (8GBX2) DDR4 3000MHZ RM 759.00
SSD: SAMSUNG 250GB 860 EVO M.2 RM 378.00
HDD: SEAGATE 3.5' BARRACUDA 1TB RM 170.00
PSU: FSP 550W HYDRO GE 80+ GOLD FULL MODULAR RM 355.00
CASE: MasterBox Q300L CHASSIS RM 160 (estimate from lazada)

TOTAL: RM3,203 (E Tech PC prices)
*
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll contact E-Tech for latest pricing and availability. As for the AIO, my PC will be located right next to the window and in the afternoon, it gets pretty hot. The CM masterliquid ML240L should be able cover that. thumbup.gif

P/S: I replaced the ssd with this SanDisk Ultra SSD 3D NAND 2.5" SATA 500GB (RM 423). Might not need the HDD since I dont really store any videos or files. Will buy later on if needed.

Thanks,

Any reliable shop that can reassemble with some prats that I bought and also parts that I can buy from them? Prefer to have a shop closer to subang as I am too lazy to assemble the pc myself. lol

The mobo is out of stock. is this ASROCK B360M PERFORMANCE a good replacement? or should I go for a more expensive but almost similar spec MSI H370M BAZOOKA?

i3-8100 supports up to 3 monitor, but it depends on the motherboard that supports what port. adapters can easily be found tho
D-Sub = VGA btw, in this context.
the suggested ASUS B360M-K has DVI-D & D-Sub support, 1x M.2, 2x ram. you need HDMI adapter then

Other choice
cheapest possible (H310M):
ASUS PRIME H310M-D @295 (D-Sub/HDMI - 2x), 1x M.2, 2x ram
GIGABYTE H310M-S2P @289 *from Viewnet/Idealtech* (D-Sub/HDMI/DVI-D - 3x), 1x M.2, 2x ram

B360m & 3 monitors:
GIGABYTE B360M-HD3 @339 (DVI-D/D-Sub/HDMI - 3x), 1x M.2 slot, 2x ram
Asrock B360M-HDV @299 *from Viewnet* (D-Sub/HDMI/DVI-D 3x), 1x M.2, 2x Ram

if you want more upgrade possibilities:
GIGABYTE B360M AORUS GAMING 3 @359 (DVI-D/HDMI - 2x), 2x M.2, 4x ram, RGB
Prices are from C-zone, otherwise stated
B360>H310

extra budget can buy external hard disk for backup/better PSU for longevity/nicer case, up to your preference:
Corsair CX650M @ 329
Corsair TX650M @ 379 - C-zone

Thanks a lot for clarifying things for me. I end up going with Gigabyte b360m-hd3 as it supports up to 32gb/s for the m.2 ssd.

I have tweaked my rig to parts below. Can somebody let me know if it’s ok?

i3-8100
Gigabyte b360m-HD3
G.skill aegis ddr4 8gb 2666mHz
Intel 760p m.2 nvme 250gb
EVGA 500bv (I have bought this before u reply my post so I have to stick with this)
Tecware core

One more question, I got this Sapphire Radeon HD5450 after tearing my old pc apart.

Is it going to work with my new mobo? Is it better if I put it in if it works or should I just sell it out for some bucks?

How about EVGA Supernova 650 G+ Gold Full Modular PSU? At least, this one has 10 years warranty.

Hi, I'm planning to get a new laptop since my old one is broken and currently I'm looking at the latest acer swift 3 priced around RM 2800 with i5-8250, mx150, 4gb ram and 1tb + 128ssd. I know laptop and a pc is incomparable and I get mobility with laptop. But im just thinking, what kind of setup could i get for around RM2900 that could do same task with swift 3 like a bit of gaming, programming and web browsing. And if possible to have a monitor included as well since it's more comparable to a laptop.. thanks in advance.

[Budget] - max rm3000

[Usage] - programming, web browsing, a bit of gaming

Reused hardware - [probably hard disk]
