It could be because MYR has strengthen against USD, hence the quantum of increase is lesser.

For the past 2 weeks, the government applied a hidden tax of approximately 5 sen when it usually applies 8 sen as seen in the past. As the calculation is exactly RM1.72 and RM2.02 respectively this week, this would usually incur an extra 1 sen in the pricing (due to currency exchange rate etc). Thus, I estimate that RON95 and RON97 would increase by 5 sen from last week to RM1.78 and RM2.08 respectively (±1 sen).

Petrol up 5 cents !! Definitely need to pump tonight after work hahaha

For the past few weeks, the government applied a hidden tax of approximately 5 sen. Thus, I estimate that RON95 and RON97 would increase by 2 sen from last week to RM1.80 and RM2.10 respectively (±1 sen).
