AFAIK, there be no credible news of a replacement anytime soon. But I hope when it does come, I don't doubt it's be even better. If they even plan on releasing new HW in the future, it's good that they are taking their time to make sure it's all good..

Sorry, even for known brands.. There are hardly any proper repairmen for such boxes.. Those who can are mostly HW tinkerers who willfully dabble with such electronics. Did you try a factory reset and this didn't fix the issue? What's the issue anyways? If it's a hard brick, as in it won't power on at all? You could try another compatible power adapter to see if that's the issue.. If still no nothing? Let it go and buy another box.. No choice.. But this time, try to get from the popular brands.. Cuz then better support, warranty and build quality.

Hi. Thank you for answering. It can on, however after factory reset, it keeps showing error code 01 for the internet server.  So i am hoping to get update on the firmware to see if it will solve the problem.

Mind posting an image of this error and does it happen for all apps or just one/few?

I see.. I did a quick Google search, however, given its pretty generic name.. I couldn't find a direct manufacturer website and a bunch of similarly named boxes popped up in the results. So hard to track down which one's yours actually. Nevertheless, since most of these generically named boxes share the same internals, just a different name/branding for selling. Perhaps you could find another (under a different name) that lists the exact same hardware it has. If lucky, there'll be a compatible fw up in freaktab that you can flash and works. Else, it'll really hard brick for good. Which might not be a bad thing..

For those meeting this conditions:
1) android box aith arm cpu
2) running kodi 18.x
3) now failed to run quasar

The fix below worked for me., u need to extract on to kodi folder to replace existing.

More info required.. Got url link to manufacturer website and detailed product description and specs? If you can't easily find such? I suggest you ignore the recommendation.
Perhaps bad cable.. Why no use HDMI? Less to no hassle.. RCA cable (carries AV signals) connects to AV port(s).. SPDIF/TOSLINK carries digital audio only and connects to its compatible port.

Oh I see..Try new cables and if that still doesn't work and you are convinced it's not the TV's port issue. Test the box at a pal's place via HDMI.. If that works, then get a HDMI-RCA converter to overcome the issue.

plan to change to 55 inch 4k smart tv. currently eyeing sony x7000f or hisense A6100.

if i purchase those smart tv, can i use netflix, hypp tv and those android tv box simultaneously on my 4k smart tv?

sometimes i might want to see movies from netflix or sometimes i might want to watch hypp tv channels.

I'm the TS over at the dedicated Kodi thread and have gotten many complaints about the MiBox and it's Kodi issues. It's not a recent thing.. Been happening a long time. Similarly, got ppl report the same about AOTG too.
