QUOTE(shankar_dass93 @ Apr 25 2017, 02:02 PM) Guys so i have one question to ask, Let's say if I suddenly happen to make a lump sum investment into FSM (a 5 or 6 figure number ), would FSM/BNM require me to declare my source of funds for my investments ? nope,..they did not ask me....

QUOTE(besiegetank @ Apr 30 2017, 08:37 AM) Currently I'm fully in equity with ponzi 2, APTRF, Global titan and greater china. They are all amost in equal proportion. Thinking to diversiy into india, indonesia and Reits soon. Sunday morning...as usual nothing much to do... done a simple quick snapshot ...... if "me", I would, 1) increase more into M'sia, india and Indonesia 2) reduce your China, hk and Taiwan.... >40% of allocation Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Apr 30 2017, 02:06 PM) In contrary I would suggest him keeping it more than 40% into Asia. It's a hot bed for returns. Asking him to go more into Malaysia and Indonesia is folly. at 35% in China/Hk alone? a hot bed for returns so is the reverse too. M'sia & Indonesia he has only 3%. from his previous posting, Ts seemed to look for diversification not so much on betting for higher returns This post has been edited by yklooi: Apr 30 2017, 02:29 PM

QUOTE(besiegetank @ May 6 2017, 09:34 PM) Just a question on how to effectively compare the performance of our funds using ROI and IRR? If using ROI everytime we add in a new investment will pull down our ROI. IRR will seems to be a better choice but will need longer timeframe to represent our investment correctly. Do you mind to share how do you calculate your ROI and IRR as you shown earlier with continuing investing? Thanks! Mine is lumpsum...... I did not use polarzbear"s file bcos iam not good at excel....may i suggest you use polarzbear file as in post 1.....very canggih

QUOTE(dasecret @ May 28 2017, 10:17 AM) Based on the above. If you look at the recommended portfolio, also balanced portfolio has the highest returns. But I look at average, not max upside the average return (projected) increases in 1% each step of the portfolio type by with 20% variance in FI ratio where did you se the highest returns? can see from the FSM chart? QUOTE(dasecret @ May 28 2017, 10:30 AM) Both average returns and highest returns I mentioned is from the Monte Carlo simulation. Not from the projected average returns. Basically it gives you a picture of the possible outcomes in 30 year and where it's distributed Just pick a portfolio that you are comfy with. I also picked moderately aggressive for myself. If mum wants to put in, I'd go for balanced for her ok.... most probably I would go for the moderate one.... btw, following your earlier posting.....I just emailed FSM abt the 1st 50 person thing....just waiting for their response.

When you want to dispose, have to dispose entirely just got a call from CIS if i buy into managed portfolio ..still within the top 50 persons btw, she said...no top up allowed.... but during the buying in website process, noticed there is minimum subsequent RM1000 top up note: anyway just bought Moderately Aggressive port.... QUOTE(Ramjade @ May 29 2017, 10:24 AM) Nah. If I were to choose automatic portfolio manager, I will rather choose those real robo investor instead of this pseudo robo investor (FSM managed portfolio is still operated by humans). After all if a robot can beat human at Go (ancient chinese stategy game), what chances does human have against robo investor? Even Blackrock, one of US largest fund house fired most of their fund manager and go the robo way. just go with what we have now at this platform..... if and when this rob is here...will decide again.... hopefully this robo is really independent with live and know it all live streaming type....not those computer that are being fed by data which are "past" knowledge.....

QUOTE(ganaesan @ May 29 2017, 10:30 AM) I am interested to give a go for MAPS... Balanced portfolio... So, i give my words that i will share the returns of the portfolio here... Lets compare it .. Hope more pledge here with different portfolio i think they will periodically publish the results of the portfolios performance in the web.... FSM SG, FSM HK had been doing it.... QUOTE(dasecret @ May 29 2017, 10:32 AM) Wow, for real? This product will die such a tragic death if they are indirectly limiting each investor to buy RM10k; this story reminds me so much of PRS ...... will try to do a simple top up most probably next few days once after the buy in process had been completed to see if it is possible to do top up of RM 1k....

QUOTE(puchongite @ May 29 2017, 11:05 AM) Question is that the results of the portfolios performance it is inclusive of the fees or not inclusive ? Most likely I would say it will not be inclusive of the fees. So your actual paper gain in your port might be less than the published one on the web. like most of the result...it would be EXCLUDING fees.. 1 yr 0.5% ...10 yrs 5%....just deduct the % from the total returns....
