Even if someone want to use a dGPU instead of the iGPU, the new 2200G and 2400G are better purchase than the 1300 and 1500X right?

Can't seem to find much ITX motherboard for Ryzen sold online, especially the Asus B350-I ones. Do you think I can find one in Digital Mall or LowYat Plaza?
I don't like the Asrock one, seems to have less ports and features. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ May 9 2018, 08:58 PM) Hmmm, then I need to read up the reviews online before getting it just to be sure.QUOTE(aa55555 @ May 9 2018, 04:24 PM) If you have a X470 chipset mobo, you can try to enable the percision boost overdrive, it push even more than the stock 4.3ghz if your processor is cool enough. Meaning I need to get a X470 ITX board for the 2700X to go past 4.3GHz without manual OC?However, enabling that feature will void the warranty if it causes damage to the processor. I guess I'll wait for the X470 ITX board to be available (or get one when I visit Taiwan), to take advantage of the Precision Boost 2 (sound fast... lol). Can't any other ITX M/B for Ryzen except for that Asrock B350 one.

Speaking of RAM, which should go better for 2700X if I don't do much video edit and mostly gaming:

Thanks for the info!
I am not familiar with OC-ing with RAM, I guess I'll have to try it out. Can't wait for the X370 ITX board to be available. |

I got my hands on the Asus X470-i from Taiwan, I wished the local seller would bring sell here earlier. Now I have to figure out how to overclock the pair of FlareX ram above 3400MHz.

I plan to remove the heat spreader on my G.Skill Flare X so I can add 2nd fan on my Noctua NH-C14. Is it a good idea?
I guess this is a good topic to ask since only Ryzen user will buy such expensive RAM without RGB... This post has been edited by edmund_yung: Jun 13 2018, 12:10 PM |

Thanks, I always thought the heat spreader is just for cosmetic purposes with little cooling effect.
Noctua slim fan then... This post has been edited by edmund_yung: Jun 13 2018, 05:21 PM |

QUOTE(ctw88 @ Jun 20 2018, 11:28 AM) I agree with mansooriqbal on getting the CL16 ones and putting the money on a better GPU which guarantee better FPS. Just make sure it will run at rated speed. If you already got a 1080 Ti then yeah, by all means get the CL14 ones. haha! |
