Titan V is not a gaming card, sure it can be used for gaming but thats not the point. The tensor core and half rate DP is good for GPU based computation and machine learning. It is a true Titan unlike the previous Pascal and Maxwell Titans with crippled DP rates. If you want a gaming Volta wait a little bit until they released the GeForce variant
from what i can see on pascal
theres O per cuda core compute gain
titan V look like a pascal with 30% more cuda cores with hbm2 and some crippled tesla gpu.
its like kepler/maxwell all over again
leap in architecture for nvidia generally example a gtx2080 should be 2k cuda cores but has 30% more single precision numbers than 1080ti
the guys i pity the most is those who bought titan xp sli (starwars)
Titan V is a better buy than SLI titan xp. difference of usd 600 in this buyers segment is mute.
i personally will advice ppl skip any new nvidia gpu until new games that use dx12 graphical tech comes out. blame console dudes for this. dx12 only low level api improvement is being uses atm. sad actually.
blame pubg dudes for supporting a screwed up game that has terrible graphics, devs that dont care about driver optimization since they are indie.
gaming graphical growth now is actually stunted.
technicallt it shouldnt be. cause theres more gamers now and more cash to be made. even screwed up games can profit. so guessing all sa devs now just making games for money.
look at how many new games had terrible optimization issue. most of these games takes a year for all the bugs to be fixed.
