I see some people played PUBG in low settings to gain advantage in easier to spot people. So yah, 1060 will be more than enough to run it.

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Oct 17 2017, 12:40 PM) Is it time to upgrade to a 1070 or 1080 from 970? Depends on what resolution you plan to play and any plans to upgrade your monitor in the near future. But i think 1070 is the sweetspot up to 1440p if you dont intend to go to ultrawide

I think for 1080p even 1060 is good enough, need others to clarify this. But if 1080 pricing isnt a big top up from 1070 from your survey, its definitely a good buy that should last you maybe 5 yrs or more and open to upgrade to 1440p in the future as well

If you have the moolah, then by all means go for the 1080. However, I would wait just a little longer since 1070ti is around the corner. Just wait and see how that goes, then only splash the cash. But 1060 does not differ much from 970.

Where are those 780ti now?

Where are those 780ti now? subject to individual tolerance of graphic tolerance (if my R290 can last me 4 yrs min, i believe 1080ti should last me this long as well-minimum) there's still user using r2xx / n7xx series as well, just not active/member of lyn.

You see my point is actually depending on the buyers. If you are the type that can splash around $4k on the highest tier GPU, I really doubt you are the type that can tolerate medium settings in game. 10/10 will replace the card after 2 or 3 years. Now now... this also depends on how you game.
