Get the 512GB if your pocket allows smile.gif The right time to buy a laptop is the time when you need to use it. But if you ask me, I would say your friend suggestion is bad.... There's a price hike in Malaysia for the refreshed model with little to no gain in performance. But yeah, it's a good buy.

Noted. I just placed the order for 512GB model. Thanks for your advise.

512 without hesitation.

Your MBP will last year 5 years or more, so do consider what will the spec you need in 5 years time.

I bought MBA 128gb was very proud at that time and i used it for 6 years. Not enough storage with current application size. So have to change to MBP

Oh. Thanks for your advise. I already placed order for the 512GB model. i5 + 8GB should be enough, right?

I have just only recently used the night shift feature in my macbook pro and iphone. It is quite pleasing to my eyes which is a surprise. I remember not liking it when I first play around with the color setting. Maybe not so much during the day time. Anyway, I set it to turn on at 10pm every night and I do found myself sleep better for the past week.

Yes, I bought the 13 inch 2017 macbook pro with touchbar. 15 inch is too big and expensive for me. So, I choose the 13 inch model.

yup, personally i prefer 13-inch for its perfect size and portability also.

but for 2016 and 2017 15-inch has really 'slimmed down' a lot and lighter by a lot this is also true.
at least for those who really needs such big screen, it is much much more manageable now.

Seems like most of the user said that 13inch 2016tb and 13inch 2017tb hardly able to notice the differences unless upgrade to max spec

Is it really hard to notice the differences from hardware to software?

Received my Macbook Pro 13 inch few days ago. Haven't really start using it. but the design of the laptop really attracted me. smile.gif I think I still more time to explore the computer as this is my first apple computer.

My rMBP again suffers from "Staingate" issue on the screen sad.gif

Attached Image Attached Image

Already made a previous claim last year and changed the whole screen, now seem to happen again. Dunno whether this time can claim again or not

should be able to rite? if previously can claim, dun see a reason why this time cannot since it is the same problem.

but the big question mark is why after changed the same problem still persists. it means that there is no solution to this.

from the review i saw, broadwell -> skylake vs skylake -> kabe lake.

skylake -> kabe lake should see slightly greater improvement.

if one requires power should consider macbook pro 15-inch.

else if portability is not needed, the new 2017 imac 5k 27-inch is a better deal.

My unit was out of warranty when i made the first claim, now my rmbp is about 2.5 years hopefully no problem to claim again

I guess there seems like they didnt solve the problem, or mayb the replacement unit is just the same batch of monitors with the problematic coating
