I got a 15inch one for one week and then I returned it because I think the space grey looks tacky. And now I ordered a silver one haha the return it's not 30 days but I think about 14.

Not a developer, can't say much bout how much the function key is going to matter but i believe if you use it long enough, you can touch type on it like how I could on an iphone.. just a little after a week i can already adjust brightness and volume without looking at it.
About the keyboard, its controversial, but it's by far the fastest and best keyboard I can type on. And i love the short travel.... it makes me type faster in one sense with lesser effort. My speed considerably improved to 86wpm lolol from 80 on the older MacBook pro

Oh I didnt know that the return policy also apply in Malaysia biggrin.gif
But RM13k for a laptop cry.gif

Attached Image Attached Image

Already made a previous claim last year and changed the whole screen, now seem to happen again. Dunno whether this time can claim again or not

should be able to rite? if previously can claim, dun see a reason why this time cannot since it is the same problem.

but the big question mark is why after changed the same problem still persists. it means that there is no solution to this.
*
My unit was out of warranty when i made the first claim, now my rmbp is about 2.5 years hopefully no problem to claim again

I guess there seems like they didnt solve the problem, or mayb the replacement unit is just the same batch of monitors with the problematic coating

The 2015 rMbp is actually good. Design is nice. Especially with the glowing Apple logo. It is quite a good collection item now. tongue.gif
*
The 2016 rmbp also had a glowing apple logo right?

Dun have. 2016 redesigned everything. 2017 is exactly same design as 2016 except speed bump.

Early 2015 and mid 2015 retina MacBook Pro are the only last design laptops before redesign.
*
Just went to QCD and manage to claim warranty for the screen.
Apparently the program only covers up to 3 years from date of purchase. Mine already 2.5 years brows.gif

Just got back my rMBP from QCD
Much faster than expected, as they told me need 10 business days. Took about 3 business days (5 days total)
Hopefully this replacement screen dont have the same staingate problem

Any Mac user using Antivirus in their macbook?

These years seems like Mac vulnerability is increasing.

Am thinking Bitdefender now
*
Using rmbp for around 2 years+ without any anti virus
So far so good

Hi everyone, notice my rMBP (mid 2014) screen is suffering from staingate issue. Anybody here just got his/her screen replaced and how long it took? Can we still replace the screen at no charge?
*
Changed my screen twice already due to this issue during my 3 year period.
Also using the rMBP (mid 2014).
Took about 1-7 days for replacement of the screen without any charge (1 time at Mac City, 1 time at QCD)
