new Digi Edge user here. I was asking bout Digi Wifi but they recommend me to use Edge instead. The CS was at Times Sq. Paid RM100 for registration. They gave me a supplementary sim. Now using Nokia E65 as modem. Looks ok so far. Will update again later.

There is no such thing as Digi Wifi. Digi just has an agreement with Airzed. So when you subscribe for Digi Edge unlimited, you get Airzed wireless unlimited as well.


Yup. Not all. Like certain HP support gprs, then got certain HP support 3G.

Yes, u're rite on that Airzed deal. But to correct you, there is such thing as DiGi Wifi!

i already test my edge wif the url u give.i dun think that test is correct.im using Digi EDGE Suplementary card on my SE W810i as a modem n the result is :-

which means you can download at 1.02 MB/sec. from our servers.

i got different result and i think dis 1 is correct
i got download speed of 233kbps n upload speed of 67kbps

for ur information,my w810i connect at a speed of 921kbps
that is after i maximize the modem speed.
i dunno if ur nokia can maximize ur modem speed but i ody try maximize n70 modem i i can connect at 921kbps.

well,4 now i can play ran online wifout problem.only wen my hp batt is low then the connection is poor.

n better,use mozilla firefox browser n add on DOWNTHEMALL.sure u get n download speed of 30-60kbps n depens on ur area la.did u maximize ur hp modem?i did max it to 921.0kbps n its goooooddddd

Added on May 10, 2007, 3:29 ammaxis limited 2 3gb per month n afterwards is money talking.digi unlimited.i already using it 4 3 month n everyday i download more than 300mb data.n still pay the same amount.so digi is unlimited usage.i did conform wif CS at lowyat b4 i register.u can try 4 urself using prepaid la but hav to sacrifice rm150 of credit la b4 it change 2 unlimited usage.

Wow, interesting! I'm using Nokia E65 as modem. I will try to maximize my modem later at home. Now at work and didnt bring my cable. If you dont mind, can show how to maximize?
Will also check on that DOWNTHEMALL thing aswell. Thanks for such info!

i'm using my pda as a modem to on9.
using edge to surf net is quite good.

im using DiGi EDGE on my Nokia 9300i connected thru USB to my laptop.. I'm quite okay with the speed..

Already maximized to 921.6 Kbps and using DOWNTHEMALL as download accelerator. Really cool! Can get 35 KB/s for downloads. That depends to my location. Tho its not as fast as 3G and all, its still a decent connection. No complains at all.

I am very very new on the edge..... and need some answer b4 i subscribe:

Is the connection speed different with different hand phone model? For example, nokia 9300 communicator (EGPRS class 10, can send/receive faxes (236.8 kbit/s) ) vs nokia 9500 communicator ( 177 kbps EDGE ). Since both phone was equipped with different speed, then I thought the speed must be different. Am I right? If I am right, then which Edge phone in the market have the highest speed? (prefer to be price below 1k)

yes DOWNTHEMALL is a download manager. an addon for mozilla firefox.

should be around 25KB/s not 25kb/s. major diffrent.

I am thinking of digi unlimited data plan but I don't want to use my phone as a modem as I want it online 24/7. I just called Digi, the sales guy recommended a PC card that cost RM1k from SE, which I think it's too expensive...Anybody using any PC card as a modem? Any good recomendation as alternative to handphone as modem? Thanks

EDGE is the only way to get you online [at least at higher speeds] where streamyx, 3g are not available at your area X_X...you dont want to use 56k to online do you ?

So, 3G definately higher speed compares to Edge. But, 3G not available in many places..... just wondering..... do 3G able to convert to GPRS when it is not available in certain places like what Edge did?

Hi guys, i know many of you are really out of choice than only choose digi edge. Sick of slow connection speed ? May be a little treak can brighten your day.
