QUOTE(apisgogo @ Aug 30 2007, 09:46 AM) from my personal opinion, i think Digi should lower their rates for this EDGE. As far as we could see now other operators (celcom 3G) already offer RM8/day, unlimited use. Digi is already much cheaper than that. With Digi prepaid, EDGE costs RM150/month (RM5/day). With Digi postpaid, EDGE costs RM33/month (RM1/day). |

This is because 3G receptions in my place (Mutiara Damansara) is not really stable. But with Digi, i could get constantly about 150kbps - 250kbps. Its enough for me to surf the internet and send my business emails. it is my concern before sign the DiGi Mobility Fiesta Rm124 monthly package Added on September 4, 2007, 10:12 pm QUOTE(asiatrader98 @ Sep 3 2007, 03:14 PM) if the edge can always connected 150kbps - 250kbp stable....it is considered good.........but how do I know my area esp damasara heigh & kepong baru have the good reception even it is digi's coverage no one sign this DiGi Mobility Fiesta pacakage? it is my concern before sign the DiGi Mobility Fiesta Rm124 monthly package This post has been edited by asiatrader98: Sep 4 2007, 10:12 PM |

QUOTE(MX510 @ Sep 14 2007, 02:07 PM) U just dont get it do u? Of course the speed from Maxis and Celcom are better because theyre 3G.Why must u compare the speed? Check wiki for Edge and 3G comparison. Some ppl here prefer Digi because of stability. I've used Maxis 3G before and it sucks big time! Regular timeout, contant disconnection etc. I hear the same with Celcom3G. |

@f1br3opt1c:- As long your area is covered, then you can use the service. Since EDGE configuration is same as GPRS configuration.
Except you're gonna pay for the data transmitted, since you're not in the Data Unlimited Plan. |

QUOTE(EightPhantomz @ May 6 2007, 05:44 PM) new Digi Edge user here. I was asking bout Digi Wifi but they recommend me to use Edge instead. The CS was at Times Sq. Paid RM100 for registration. They gave me a supplementary sim. Now using Nokia E65 as modem. Looks ok so far. Will update again later. Can the supplementary SIM be used for voice calls as well? Did you try?Right now I am using Digi with a very small HP. I would like to get a Nokia E61i too, but it is too large to carry everywhere; for instance if I am going to pasar malam I don't want that giant thing in my pocket getting smashed or stolen. Those times I want to keep carrying the small phone. I don't want to have to keep moving the SIM card back and forth between the phones; it would wear out the phones and I would always be resetting the clocks. So I would like to have two SIM cards on the same number. With Maxis you can do this, it's called "One line Multi-SIM". But nobody at the Digi shops could answer whether it's possible with them. I would really prefer to keep Digi instead of Maxis because Digi rates and web site and IDD are so much better (that Maxis 132 thing is so stupid, can't dial numbers straight from my phone book, have to remember them and re-type them for every call). |

@rajulkabir:- Nope, cannot use to make voice call. But can text messaging o_O...[charges in your bill tho, not free...lol]
hmm...you actually can do that, either convert your data plan only to just like normal postpaid + data unlimited plan [if not mistaken] oh...normal digi shops...I don't think they know much, better you ask at the DiGi centre "/...or you can try email them "/ |
