I don't know how to say, just 1 thing that i know is Edge speed is average 128kbps. You are in telco line, you should know Edge is slower then 3G, how come you claimed that digi is faster than maxis or celcom.

Regarding Limitation, i am using digi plan, celcom, and maxis, so far never found any limitation on DOWNLOAD AND UPLOAD.

Lastly, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA, you still need to study more............
good luck

Forgot to mention something, just check definition of broadband, broadband mean the speed must be more than 384kbps.

EDGE can reach 384kbps also. I thought broadband is defined as any connection more than 128kbps?

Actually anything that goes beyond 200kbps is called broadband. But some country including Malaysia, anything above 384kbps is broadband..that's why streamyx unlimited plan start from 384kbps...their 256 is for 10 hrs per month and will be charge accordingly on every subsequent minutes

Digi is going to change the landscape for 3G services in malaysia soon. Now digi has 3G, and is working with Time for wimax.

Techinically, Digi can full force go into broadband market in malaysia already. hu hu, maxis should be very worried!

EDGE must be used on a laptop? Sorry, I am noob. blush.gif
The management of my current apartment doesn't allow us to install for another telephone port since the ready one is already used up. My housemate installed Streamyx in her room and she used it herself for FYP research, so I can't install another one Streamyx package. sad.gif
Thinking of another alternative ways, but it seems those alternatives only support laptops or wireless? I am using a dekstop pc and have no USB wifi.
I'm at MMU Malacca now, can enlighten me? I'm totally blur when it comes to broadband because I only know about Streamyx. rclxub.gif

I'am also waiting DiGi 3G service..wait until mid next year..too late

from star online:
At the same press conference, DiGi chief executive officer Morten Lundal said the company would be launching 3G services by mid-2008.

He said DiGi would invest RM600mil to RM800mil over a three-year period to deploy 3G services in Malaysia. For 2008, DiGi's capital expenditure will rise to RM1.1bil from RM900mil estimated earlier to include the 3G deployment cost.

Asked if the Government would approve the transfer of the licence from TDC to DiGi, Lundal said: "We believe it would be looked at favourably." The 3G licence is valid till 2018.

I am thinking of changing to Digi Edge as well, Just get my celcom HSDPA account terminated because of using too much >5G.

They never mention about 5GB limitation when i signed up. Then later they come out a new plan and apply the new term and condition for old subcription? Damn it!!!!

I need real unlimited Connection but not limited to 3GB or 5GB!!!!!!!!!! Come on! at least 50GB limitation. LOL!

testing this celcom RM68 with digi the edge at kepong baru yesterday
the result is:
digi the edge is more stable & faster than this celcom 3g which sometime very fast sometimes very slow (gprs) but not stable....conclusion is my area i only can get gprs (2 bars only with my 3g data card) not 3g so no choice, i still have to stay with the digi edge..........btw maxis 3g wireless still is the best in kepong baru, currently i have both digi edge & maxis 3g wireless
just my experience blush.gif

it's in the news. You can go to the star or new strait time online. Gobermen say timedotcom have to seek their approval before can transfer their 3G licence to digi.
