If your petrol usual is petronas, shell then maybank 2 card is good for petrol, groceries in general. Just gotta limit to weekend. Amex gives 5% for all transaction as long as weekend.

Actually i cannot find a better replacement. Especially the misc spend is mostly insurance.

If switch to SCB LFC 1% also, insurance no rebate from SCB.

But SCB LFC does give rebate for ewallet.

If you dont mind pump petrol on weekend, mbb 2 amex may be good for petrol (petronas, shell, and other petrol brand). most retail (clothes) dont quite accept amex though except big ones like uniqlo (i think uniqlo accept)

Barcelona is generally good fit for most items to get 1% cash rebate.

Maybank ikhwan petronas is good too, 8% rebate.

1. Annual Income: Sufficient to meet all (if not most) card requirements.

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must

3. Card required for: Daily expenses, utilities, ewallet top ups, online shopping. (100k+/year sometimes)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): PBVI and Citibank Premier Miles. Cut off my Ambank VI, citi prestige because it was hardly used.

5. Interested in CC from: mainstream(?) banks with good service (PB, MBB, Citi etc)

6. Others: Avoiding to hold too many cards. I've looked at some cashback cards but they tend to have too many T&Cs that I unfortunately skip them. Many have said miles are good but I have never tried redeeming them before. When I travel I usually buy J class fares straight away because I'm afraid the miles might not be enough for the whole family. Visa/MC is preferred as too few places accept AMEX. I'm more into cashback cards but open to any suggestions.
*
if you want something "easier" i will recommend MBB VS (Grocery/Petrol), MBB Barcelona (non-grocery/petrol), MBB 2 Card Premier (other expenses when >5k a month). While i agree many places dont accept amex, somehow i still find uses for amex. since you macam high spender + cover family, hitting the annual spend for MBB 2 Card Premier should not be an issue lo.

If you ok to open up to some T&C, PB VS and Affin Duo is nice la. reload to e wallet then you just use for anything lo. of course this 2 got T&C la.

If really malas just take barcelona + 2 card premier. which i do understand some people dont want to juggle the many cards.

Dear all, I have below

UOB One Card
Affin VS
MBB Barcelona
MBB Amex
SCB normal platinum
PBB Platinum
HSBC normal platinum
Aeon classic

Can I know which one is best to direct pay TNB, or need to apply which card? any good method maybe ewallet?

Please don't suggest PBB Quantum card/PBB VS..  I can't apply due to personal reason.
*
apply Affin Duo. got 3%

1. Annual Income: ~RM45k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must be free.

3. Card required for: Online/international purchases (e.g. Steam Games), Services (Celcom, dental, health, car maintenance), misc

4. Existing credit cards: Nil.

5. Interested in CC from: Banks that have good customer service. Preferably fee waiver is automatic since might forget.

6. Others: My main purpose of getting a credit card is to build credit score and get better fraud protection. I actually spend very little as I live with parents and my payments to family is in cash. In fact, the only consistent card payment I make is my celcom, which amounts to RM29 /month, so take this account as I may not qualify for some minimum spend/usage requirements for fee waiver.
*
For steam and celcom, public quantum master can solve.

The dental, car thing abit hard. Use this card reload to e wallet, pay to the dental or car?

For public bank, the fee is auto waive. So quite good la. Every month got use can already. Every month pay the celcom then ok lo.

3. Card required for: Online shopping, pay bills (Unifi, Celcom), Grab food, Physical retail (less often now due to covid)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): OCBC 365 Mastercard

5. Interested in CC from: Any

6. Others: I've 2 cards in mind: Affin Duo / PBB Quantum, in a dilemma which one to get. Nonetheless, I'm open to other options as well smile.gif
*
Dont need dilemma. Go for both.

Jokes aside, obvious choice would be PBB. 5% beats 3%. Go for affin if you think you can utilise. Else, PBB still highly recommended

Want to ask which card gives the best rewards.
Currently using Maybank Card. And i believe their conversion rate 500 Treats Points to RM1. Mainly use to redeem electronic items or spend in Harvey Norman.

Would like to know if there are better options of cards out there with better rewards options.

Can look into HLB essential

Hi all, looking for credit card recommendation for below spending:

1. Annual Income: RM85K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferred, but it's okay if got waiver

3. Card required for: List all your needs. Insurance 2K+, eWallet, Digi postpaid auto-debit, Unifi auto-debit, Utilities bills, Groceries, Petrol.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MBB FCB, CIMB World Mastercard, UOB One card

5. Interested in CC from: Max CB

6. Others: Was looking at RHB Shell.

Looking forward if anyone has a better idea for the above spending?
Thank you in advance.
*
Rhb shell "return" wise is decent too but more criteria to take note. The below 2 are more direct because dont have to worry about minimum spend to get higher return % wise. Although affin duo had some minor updates lately. Another one similar to rhb shell is SCB justone

Affin duo can be for your insurance or other auto debit.

Public visa signature for your grocery, utility bills.

Depends on your spending habits...

Hi Sifus, hope to get some help here for maybe a credit card or two

1. Annual Income: ~RM108k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: depends, if the benefit outweighs this, than okay.

3. Card required for: Mainly overseas physical store transaction and maybe overseas online transaction

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank Ikhwan (used to have OCBC titanium, cimb cash rebate and MBB2 platinum cards, cancelled and maintain the islamic one only... now need to go overseas again)

5. Interested in CC from: OCBC 365 for its "no markup" (or no bank fees for overseas transaction), and MBB2 Platinum Card

6. Others: I would like to find a credit card which is good for overseas transaction. I was thinking Maybank 2 Card for Groceries over the weekend for the 5% cashback and the OCBC 365 for larger transactions (around RM2k~RM10k per occasional transaction).

Not sure if these are the best though. Appreciate any opinions i can get.

Happy Merdeka Day!!
*
Er... why not apply credit card overseas?

Apply cards that provide rebate when reload to bigpay, use bigpay to spend. Downside is bigpay limit credit card reload to 1k though.
