still kinda blur.. so online transaction is pay through PBB website right? as in web based like payment to lazada those am i right?

for contactless transaction is paywave function only?? so if pay using pin not counted?? LOL
*
PB Quantum Mastercard- pay at online sites but OTP is required. Not sure if Lazada still requires OTP verification now.

PB Quantum Visa - use paywave at physical sites. Online & PIN transactions are not a part of Contactless.

I have a question here because the general question thread are 3 years old at this point. Let’s say my saving are in cimb but the credit card that im interested in are in maybank. If i want to make an online payment to settle the cc monthly, what sort of bank charges that i should be expecting? Just wondering whether the hassle is worth it or its just better to have cc from the same bank as my saving? Im only getting a credit card for cash back for normal things in my life such as petrol, utilities, groceries and a little for online shopping.

IBFT (Instant Bank Fund Transfer)
FOC if the transfer amount is <RM5,000 (RM0.50 may apply if >RM5000 in a single IBFT)

IBFT is also a part of Duitnow, you may use Duitnow to "Bank Account" if available (not sure if CIMBClicks Is ready).

Yes almost clear but need cc for work purpose

If I am not wrong, you can apply for a credit facility (including credit card) only after you clear your AKPK debt.

You still can have Debit Visa/MasterCard for work purpose.

1. Annual Income: RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: YES, or simple requirement to waive

3. Card required for: Utilities - to be specific. AIR SELANGOR

4. Existing credit cards (if any): PB Visa Signature, MBB 2Card(AMEX only), MBB Barcelona Visa

5. Interested in CC from: -

6. Others: Special case arises. I am helping to pay utilities bill for Air Selangor of RM15,000.
- Existing maybank card will not award any cashback or TP for JOMPAY.
- Air Selangor only accept VISA & Mastercard.
- So, I'm looking at how to maximize return (either cashback or points) for this one time bulk payment, via CC/wallet/etc.
- Subsequent utilities payment will be around 1K.

Thanks

HLB Essential 0.4%-1%. Jompay/FPX excluded.

Hello everyone.
Checking is there any card that has higher cashback than HLB Essential which only gives 0.4% cashback. Am looking for Essential credit card replacement for NON-Grocery, petrol, online, dining category items.

Currently i have Maybank Amex and Barcelona card but Amex 5% is only on weekend (with RM50 cap) while Barcelona 2% also RM50 cap.

Thank you
*
M2 Amex gives you 5x Treatpoints equivalent to 1% on Mon-Fri, you still use HLB Essential for 0.4% only?

But if you spend >RM500/monthly on Groceries, Dining and Petrol, you can ADD HLB Wise Visa (since HLB already grant you a credit limit), though AF of RM98 (not waivable) but 1% (weekday) / 8% (weekend) on Petrol, Dining and Groceries.

Hello all sifu
Looking for any cashback credit card that is eligible for payment of income tax for CP500 (ByrHASIL charge 0.8% if using credit card payment)
Is MBB Barcelona FC or OCBC Titanium eligible for CB
*
Forget the credit cards as you need to pay +0.8%.
Almost all the credit cards are now not giving rebate/reward to Government related transactions!

If the merchant is assigned a correct MCC, then it is not 1 of exclusion items by MBB FC Barcelona VS.
But we have no control on the merchant's Category Code (MCC).

Hi, asking on behalf of my brother. Wanted to apply for Credit Card for credit score/backup only

1. Annual Income: RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No, but if have then better

3. Card required for: Not specific, just need it for credit record for future car/house loan application, and maybe for emergency purpose.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nill, this is the 1st

5. Interested in CC from: Any banks, easier to approve is better

6. Others: His intention to apply for credit card is solely for credit record, so no specific requirement like cashback etc. As long as approve should be OK. He tried applying through CIMB Clicks before but rejected so wanted to try for other banks. He do not have any loans at all, PTPTN also clear. He do not have any EPF though, as he is working on his own. Will it affect application?

Thanks!
*
How to prove that his income is >RM36000? Form B (2018)?
Note: if annual income <RM36000, there is a Bank Negara's rule for card issuers to comply.

Would like a card recommendation or feedback, in case I missed out on important information from my own research.

1. Annual Income: RM36k.

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes. I am also okay with a minimum swipe requirement (number of transactions) such as HSBC's Amanah Mpower Platinum CC's requirement for annual fee waiver. Preferably no minimum spending required.

3. Card required for: Cashback is a must. Petrol and groceries are the most common transactions. Occasionally dining and e-wallet.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Have been using Citibank Cashback Platinum Visa for years, and was given annual fee waiver yearly. However, this year they refused to waive it. Thus, I'm looking for an alternative to this card with equal or similar benefits.

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank which is able to meet my wants/needs.

6. Others: Based on my usage, I have been getting around RM40-RM60 cashback monthly on average. Would prefer a cc that has equal or similar benefits to Citibank's Cashback Platinum, but with free annual fee or waivers.

Any recommendation is appreciated. Thank you.

>RM36000 Form BE 2019?
If yes, you may consider Maybank Islamic MasterCard+Visa, Public Bank Quantum Visa+MasterCard.

"He do not have any EPF though, as he is working on his own."

The problem can be here. So submit Form B 2019 (Note: Not BE) by 30/6/2020 (Grace Period for Form B is till 31/8/2020 due to MCO) then apply with this document.

Thanks, meaning need to submit Form B together? If not bank won’t approve?

Credit card issuers are desperate to recruit new card members but they must comply with Bank Negara's guidelines and rules.
If the credit card issuer can accept the income documents, they may approve. The best income evidence is Form B/BE 2019 and latest EPF statement.

Don't use M2U or CIMB clicks etc online application, the Artificial Intelligence module can be too smart to reject an application. Go to bank branch or Card Centre (eg Maybank Card Centre at MidValley or 1Utama), the officers are very willing to help him as they may have sales target to meet!
