1. CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum Credit Card
2. Maybank 2 Gold Cards

StanChart Just-one platinum, you need Boost to achieve minimum monthly spend >RM2500 to get RM85 CB.

Any recent/active promotion for oversea spending especially for cash back? I'm currently holding Maybank Barcelona, HLB Wise, PB VS Signature and Stanchart Liverpool cards.

Appreciate your feedback. Thanks

any reason why should i apply at maybank card centre?

Let humans check your application, either at card centre or by email.
M2U online application is not reliable. The Aritificial Intelligence may reject your application even you qualify. wink.gif

I am looking a card specifically for online spending (cash backs) already using mbb2cards and uob currently.

What are my options?
*
If you spend a lot, then OCBC Titanium (unlimited)
Otherwise, you should consider Public Bank Visa Signature and Quantum MasterCard, RHB VS, AmBank True, StanChart Just One Platinum and Liverpool MasterCard. (CB capped)

Better rebate in cash. Your suggestion is not enough for me. I spend around rm10k in gas station monthly.

Proper documentation is more important for tax purposes. Consider Fleet card.
Don't use personal credit card / banking account too often and too much .

Looking for suggestion for my first credit card.

1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Prefer to have, or maybe can be waived

3. Card required for: Mainly for petrol and makan, and maybe for car maintenance.

4. Existing credit cards (if any): nil

5. Interested in CC from: nil

6. Others: Use about RM200 for petrol(using petron only for now but can switch to other brands depending on CC) and RM600 for makan per month. And about RM1.5k for car maintenance annually.
Prefer cashback as i don't spent much so it will take me forever to collect points.

Thank you vey much.
*
Consider new HLB Wise card (new cashback scheme effective 1/7/19, Annual Fee RM98, Minimum monthly spend RM500) AND use Boost/TouchNGo/GrabPay e-wallet AND FAVEPAY for some transactions (Dining, car maintenance, Shopping).

1. Annual Income: 60k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Good to have

3. Card required for:
- Groceries purchase at AEON
- Utilities online payment for TNB, SYABAS, phone bills (Celcom, Maxis, Yoodo), home internet (Unifi, Maxis)
- Insurance online payment for Prudential and Takaful Ikhlas
- Petrol purchase at Petronas (not much around 200-300/month)
- sometimes travel overseas due to work-related
- probably my son’s stuffs (clothes, formula milk, toys) and usually buy at AEON too
- car maintenance and insurance

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
- CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum
- CIMB Petronas Platinum

5. Interested in CC from:
no specific preference

6. Others:
- Thinking of AEON Platinum Visa, would that be ok to cover up my groceries purchase?
- I dont think CIMB CR card is the best card for online payment and utilities. Or is it?
- Getting airmiles points (Big or Enrich) seems good too to save some money for my balik kampung ticket to Kuching or Alor Setar.
- might be spending on gadgets or house renovation/repairs
- Should I terminate my CIMB Petronas and apply Maybank Ikhwan Petronas?
- I’m open to suggestion of multiple cards
*
Apply Maybank M2 (Amex+Visa/MC) + FCB Barcelona Visa Signature, 3 cards but 1 Credit limit from Maybank (sharing).
M2 Amex / FCB VS for AEON, Petronas

and use BOOST e-wallet (Shell, Celcom, Unifi, Syabas)

Forget the Airmiles, as it is good only for First/Business Class and International travel.

Thanks ClarenceT

So it’s more worth to use M2Amex and swipe for TPs for voucher exchange than AEON’s own card yeah?
Ah I think u meant the cashback is much more worth it ya?

If the online bill payment using standing instruction, what card would be the best?

Also, would PBB Quantum MC suits my requirement too?
*
There is no a perfect card for all your spendings, but CIMB cards are junk. I like to shop at Aeon as well, since it was called Jaya Jusco, Jusco opened at 1U, MV and Sunway Pyramid, and now New Aeon at Kuching Central. But I never feel Aeon CC is good, as I could get better rewards/CB from M2Amex, RHB Visa (departmental) and PB Quantum Visa (departmental), with Aeon membership (RM24 for 3 years).

Ya you may consider PB Quantum Visa+MasterCard as well, QV is good for your spending at Aeon Departnental (and buy Aeon vouchers then spend at Aeon Supermarket), QM good for online payments and shopping.

3. Card required for:
Cashback rebate
Overseas transaction

4. Existing credit cards (if any):

Thanks
*
CIMB Visa Infinite (rewards only), RHB Visa Signature or World MasterCard.

1. Annual Income: rm150000-rm200000 (working in Sg, hence this is after conversion)

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Flexible on that

3. Card required for: Wedding expenditure (including banquet, photoshoot etc, budgeted for approximately rm100000 in the next one year)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): none

5. Interested in CC from: Cashback or mileage, best is if we get enough mileage/cashback to fund for our honeymoon tongue.gif

6. Others: N/A
*
Get a SG CC as you are a tax resident there. Not so straight forward for you to get a MY CC.

1. Annual Income: RM66k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must or waive-able with swipes

3. Card required for: Petrol RM350, Cash Back/Rebate (shopping 1-2k), Points that can be converted back to money whichever is more, Free LCCT Lounge Access (desirable)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): plan to terminate less useful cards

5. Interested in CC from: heard people recommend amex and ambank bonuslink

6. Others: Please be specific. Example: I am a Sarawakian. Difficult to determine the cashback efficiency here. I pay bill thru top up Sarawak Pay and Boost e-wallet. How many cards to keep?
*
QUOTE(okyjace @ Jul 1 2019, 02:34 PM)
Based on your CC spending of around 1500 to 2000 each month, I would suggest the following.

PBE Visa signature. 6% earn rate capped at 38 with 2X lounge access annually. I think top up e-wallets online can be considered as online category spending - please check.

Then Maybank 2Card Platinum AMEX for 5% earn rate on weekends capped at 50. Pump petrol on weekends at places like Shell, BHP which accept AMEX.
*
Not eligible for Public Visa Signature (min RM80k). You may consider Public Bank Quantum Mastercard+Visa.
For SESCO and govt bills, use SarawakPay, better than Boost, though online banking to top up.
You may consider M2 (Visa/MC + Amex) + FC Barcelona VS.

If you want Free Plaza Premium Lounge service at KLIA2, the only option is AEON credit cards (with Annual Fee).

looking for cards to dump in boost max 4,5k monthly

from reading got 2 option:
SCB JOP
UOB YOLO

prefer YOLO but got quota cash rebate monthly. does this quota easily exhausted every month?
*
UOB YOLO

At this moment, nobody can tell you if you will get rebate for Boost App 3D-EC or Boost App SSL-EC, as MCC was changed to 6540 (a financial service) in mid June.

Those top up Boost on 1/7/19 will get the answer by end of August.

"1" is OK. Credit card companies don't really like those applicants with all "0".

Yes, e-wallet is count as online transaction, however you may need to wary that some bank specified that e-wallet transaction won't earn points/cashback. For example, Maybank.
*
Not true. Some e-wallets use Direct Debit not Online, eg e-TnG.

Then reload TnG with JOP is considered as Direct Debit & can be qualified for CB under Direct Debit Category, i.e. reload RM200 will earn RM30 CB?
*
If I am not wrong, Direct Debit CB is limited to some MCC only, not everything.
