Alright thanks for all the suggestion given and advice.
I am not spending up to rm2500 so Standard Chartered Just-one Platinium doesnt fit into it. Oh does hire purchase consider as monthly figure ?
Not quite sure about the MBB M2 card, looks like the treatpoints doesnt worth if compare to cash back.

Im now choosing between MBB Ikhwan MC and Islamic Petronas. Any suggestions?

SC JOP
You just need to spend RM567 on Petrol+Online (15% -> RM85 rebate) but top-up Boost e-wallet RM1934 (https://www.facebook.com/boostsarawak, you can use at Ta Kiong, Boulevard, CS Mini Market and a lot of dining places in Kuching, paying water bills, Telekom bills with shake rebate - indirectly get cashback) (https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4698581) to achieve monthly spend >RM2500. If don't spend that much, just request Boost to cash-out to your bank account, MAX cash-out RM1498 for service charge RM2. So technically you gain RM85 less Boost's service charges (RM2 or RM4 if 2 cashouts) every month. (Note: Annual fee is waived if annual spend >RM20k, not difficult if RM2500 X 8 months only)

M2 Amex Gold
5% rebate (max RM50/month) + 5 Treatpoints if you spend on Sat or Sun including you pump petrol at Petronas or Shell, Giant, Guardian, Watsons, Aeon, Sesco. Maybank will give you 2 cards, Visa/Mastercard + Amex (SST RM50/year but can be redeemed by 10k Treatpoints per RM25).

Ikhwan Mastercard - 5% rebate on Petrol + Groceries on Friday and Saturday.
Ikhwan Visa - 8% rebate on Petronas on Saturday and Sunday.

You decide.

Wow thanks bro for the detailed explanation. Yea, i spent more than rm600 on petrol + online. Looks like SC JOP can have higher rebate with some tweaks done on the boost e-wallet.

Thank you very much. Will try to apply.
*
Senior CC users (except sharks) here may simplify into the following ways...
Use SC JOP to top up Bigpay Prepaid Mastercard RM2500/month to get CB (Online) RM85/month.
Use Bigpay Prepaid Mastercard to top up Boost, pump petrol and any retail transactions (but not very reliable especially payment to Shopee). [So not limited to Petrol + Online only]
So you will get RM85 + Big Points (from Bigpay) + Shake Rebate (from Boost).

Destroy the physical cards lo. Just keep the card number, expiry date and CVV.

Hi sifus notworthy.gif

1. Annual income: 67k (without allowances), 100k (with allowances)

2. Free annual fee: yes

3. Card for: petrol, bigpay, some eating out

4. Existing card: maybank ikhwan petronas (for weekend petrol cashback, and its free anyway), CIMB Cash Rebate (planning to cancel because can't really feel any good perks now)

5. Interested in: Just trying to maximize cashback and for general use. Planning to pay for bigpay then to boost app. I spend on outside restaurants/franchises maybe once or twice a week.

6. Others: -

Thanks in advanced notworthy.gif

I donโ€™t think i can fully utilize SCB JOP because I barely spend 1k every month ๐Ÿ˜…
Will look into PBB VS ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

RM567 on Bigpay + Petrol
RM1934 on Boost+Bigpay
To get RM85 every month
You can cash out RM1498 from Boost to your savings account at service charge RM2.

Nowadays, you may consider using e-wallets (especially Boost) as well for shopping and bill payments.
Read my earlier posts #2824-2826.

Also check the following threads
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1798403
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4698581

And you may consider buying Petronas Gift-cards (we called it PGC at Lazada/Shopee Threads) at Shopee or Lazada,

https://shopee.com.my/PETRONAS-Five-Times-F...5651.1879187551
RM94 during shocking sale. + more savings if you pay by using Shopee coins.

https://www.lazada.com.my/products/petronas...s762072366.html
More savings if you pay with Lazada e-wallet (incentives to top up Lazada e-wallet)

Use your tax return to apply, eg Form B 2017 or Form B 2018 (to be submitted by 30/6/19).

If I spend about RM1500-2000 for online shopping and other payments, is SCB liverpool card better for me ? or SCB JOP. thx
*
QUOTE(anakMY @ Apr 9 2019, 11:22 AM)
Can I do like this.

-use SC JOP to topup RM2500 Bigpay
-use Bigpay to topup RM2500 Boost
-Cashout RM2500 from Boost via 2 cashouts (RM4 service charge)

So I can earn RM85 - RM4 out of thin air.
*
A lot of teething problems using Bigpay to top up Boost.
You can use SC JOP / Liverpool MC to top up Boost directly.
JOP (Rebate RM85X12, Annual fee waived if annual spend >RM20k) is better than Liverpool MC (Rebate RM50X12, Annual fee RM175 not waivable). But you can have both if you want, both CCs will share the same credit limit.

If you get "addicted" to BP or Boost or other e-wallets, you won't use SC JOP / Liverpool MC on "online shopping and other payments".

Try...
(1) Maybank M2 Visa+Amex Gold - Use M2 Amex on Sat/Sun to get 5% rebate.
(2) Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Visa - Spend at Petronas on Sat/Sun to get 8% rebate or/and
Maybank Islamic Ikhwan Mastercard - Spend at any petrol stations on Fri/Sat to get 5% rebate
(3) Standard Chartered Just-One Platinum - Monthly spending minimum RM2500 and 15% rebate on Petrol and Online transactions.

You may consider using credit card to top up e-wallets (including Boost, Touch N Go, Grabpay etc) then use e-wallet to pay utilities, shopping and dining for better cashback.

*
Hong Leong Bank Wise Visa, but you must select 2 categories (from 9 choices) for 10% rebate, so you may choose Dining and Petrol.
But you must have posted transactions >RM2000 in a calendar month. >RM2000 on any transactions not limited to the categories you choose.
If you spend less than RM2000 in a month, you get ZERO rebate.
Annual fee is RM250 and not waivable.
https://www.hlb.com.my/en/personal-banking/.../wise-card.html

Alternatively, you may consider CIMB-Petronas Mastercard (3% everyday at Petronas, round-down to nearest RM) AND Public Bank Quantum Mastercard (5% Dining everyday, max CB RM30 per month)

my annual income is around 42K.

actually im not really spend a lot every month on credit card...for sure the monthly spend will be below 2K.

estimate : groceries - RM300, petrol - RM200, others is direct debit for insurance, cuckoo water machine, tnb bill, etc...

so that what card is really suit me? I think rebate is not really suit me coz my monthly expenses was low....
sorry to ask...ur guys mention about ringgitplus...this is a website that we can apply any bank cc from there?
is it safe...im not worry whether the website can be trust...
*
You can't have a CC that you a good reward/rebate for everything. Find a card that gives you the most CB for all your spending, maybe you should consider Maybank 2 Visa+Amex Gold, use M2 Amex on Sat/Sun for Petrol/TNB/Groceries, 5% weekend rebate, you still gain 5X reward points (worth 1%) to pump petrol or to shop on weekdays.

If your annual income >RM48k, Maybank FCB VS can give 2% for almost everything. That's why I asked for your income status earlier.

1. Annual Income: RM90 - 100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes please, don't mind swiping to get it though

3. Card required for: Petrol (less than RM150/mth), insurance, gym, F&B, movies & shopping

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MBB 2 cards, CIMB cashback

5. Interested in CC from: no preference

6. Others: Mainly looking for cashback. A lot of places don't take AMEX and CIMB rates are quite horrid. Spending about 1.5 - 3k every month on average so looking for something that's more rewarding.

Go to Maybank Card Centre at The Gardens / 1U, use your existing credit limit, request Maybank to ADD FC Barcelona Visa Signature, 2% CB max RM50 per month (10% in May/August max CB RM100) on almost everything.

3 cards (Total SST RM75) sharing 1 credit limit.
Apply at Maybank Card Centre (1U / The Gardens), don't use Maybank Online Card Application.

Maybank FC Barcelona VS: 2% max RM50/month (except May and August, 10% CB max RM100/month) on almost everything except Jompay/FPX.
Maybank M2 Amex: 5% WEEKEND rebate max RM50/month.
+ 5x Treatpoints for Petrol/Groceries (worth 1%, everyday including weekend).
Maybank M2 Mastercard (or Visa), bundled with M2 Amex, you cannot cancel this card though it is a junk.

You can use 20,000 treatpoints to redeem SST for M2 Amex and Mastercard (total RM50).

Please note Amex is not widely accepted.

HLB Wise: RM1000 PTPTN + RM1000 on CB categories to get RM100 CB.

SC JOP: RM1933 PTPTN + RM567 Petrol/Online to get RM85 CB.

Note: No CB on PTPTN.

Have a look at Maybank M2 Visa+Amex Platinum (not premier) + FC Barcelona Visa Signature, Standard Chartered Just-one Platinum Mastercard, Boost e-wallet (for Astro, Unifi, Celcom, Shopping and Dining).

Your income is high but you are not ready to fly high so Maybank Premier cards may be not good for you. tongue.gif
