1. Annual Income: RM92k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Free or waivable through minimum swipe requirement (Every month confirm will swipe once)

3. Card required for: Cashback based on Restaurants, Shopee, TnG and Samsung Pay E-wallets, my home internet/mobile data/TNB bills all will be paid via TnG (I don't use the card for Petrol or Groceries)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): UOB Yolo Visa (Thinking of changing it due to recently changed to Samsung phone and Samsung Pay doesn't support UOB bank card.)

5. Interested in CC from: Any card will do. (Except UOB Bank cards)

6. Others: Salary bank is CIMB bank. I don't always spend over Rm2k per month, occasionally only over Rm2k.

Maybank shopee

Samsung pay, ada limitation

QUOTE(FrostyBerry @ Feb 28 2023, 12:41 AM)
1. Annual Income: RM92k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee:  Preferable free or waivable. Or not too expensive per year (<200)

3. Card required for: Cashback (Groceries/Retails, Petrol, Utilities, E-wallet, online shopping and dining) (CC that commonly support 36 months installment is preferred), Insurances, Airmiles (If got lounge benefits better).

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Been long time Maybank 2 Gold cards user. Plan to change for better reward.

5. Interested in CC from: Maybank is preferred due to existing TREATS points accumulated, or any card that support apple pay also will do (lazy to bring out card from wallet) [i.e Ambank / HSBC / Maybank / Standard Chartered].

6. Others: Looking to get better cashback epecially together with ewallet usage (TnG, Boost, Grab Pay).

Thank you in advance for your recommendation.
*
Just keep using maybank 2 gold amex. Platinum has little advantages over gold. You can compare on the website to know what you are missing out. And no, you cant keep the number if you convert.

Maybank visa signature.

HSBC VS is ok for lounge

Thanks for the recommendations, I'm curious about the "Samsung Pay, ada limitation" part, does that mean some of the portals doesn't really accept Samsung pay? or some of the Cashbacks may not be applicable if I pay via Samsung pay?
*
Forgot one more card

PB visa signature

You are limited to banks that ties up with samsung pay. I am a user of samsung pay myself but the cards inside samsung pay, aside from citibank are not my main cards.

Fresh grad here.
Annual income: 42000

Is getting credit card recommended for a fresh grad like me?
Heard a lot of nasty stories regarding CC.
My friends all encourage me to get one.
*
What nasty story? Rhetorical question

I can equate this to a drug. Drug when used correctly will help you. When being abused, will spiral out of control and die from it.

CC is a tool, not human, neither good or evil. It's the human behind it determining how it's being used.

1. Annual Income: > RM300K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: good if can get waiver by spending certain amount

3. Card required for: Expense incur for (Business) Overseas Travel, eg flight ticket, hotel, transport, dining, shopping etc

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank Visa Signature

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank will do.

6. Others:

Company want me to start business travel. Mainly Asia Pacific regions. Quite frequent, expect 2 - 3 times a month.
Look for card that useful for - eg reward points from oversea spend, air miles, airport lounge access, etc.

Thank you.
*
Best pick:
Maybank 2 card premier (min spend 80k for annual fee waiver). And best airmiles earning.

For klia lounge access can consider scb worldmiles. Or maybe uob VI for some potential regional ones. Most likely you will run out of free lounge access at some point but at least still got unlimited klia lounge...

Im looking for a credit card that can give me higher credit limit by 3-8x of my monthly income.

I cant decide between Ambank Infinite and Hong Leong Infinite, which one should I pick?

Or is there other credit card you guys can recommend?

Annual Income: 150k-200k
Current: Maybank Platinum Visa and Amex
Prefer annual fee waived forever

Maybank refused to increase my credit limit so Im searching for elsewhere
*
For maybank, did you submit via m2u? Maybe can try submit another time. Weirdly, i feel sometimes their online system abit wonky. I rmb submitting once, reject, 2nd time increase alot. Lol.

Maybe call to ask or something. But i do know maybank more stingy on credit limit.

As for other banks, i usually feel all banks give higher than maybank. This is my own limited experience of applying many cards over many years. Between ambank and HL, i think just a matter which benefit you think suitable for you.

1. Annual Income: RM150K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must

3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate for Others Spend

4. Existing credit cards (if any): MBB FC Barcelona, MBB 2 Amex, PBB VS, Citi Cashback, HSBC Visa Signature

5. Interested in CC from: ?

6. Others: Wish to cancel some existing cards, reduce the number, less headache. Understand there is no 1 card for all, many premier cards are collect points.
Cancelled MBB VS, Amex, CIMB VI / Cash Rebate / Petronas , SCB WorldMiles, RHB VS, HSBC Amanah, HLB Essential..........
Many banks keep changing the rules........ just to save RM50, assume 1% rebate from RM5,000 expenses.
Some need to hit RM2,500 or RM4,000 only eligible to get the high cash back.
While some need to hit example RM60,000 or RM80,000 annual in order to waive Annual Fees.
*
I happen to have all the cards you have but i have also other cards. I am also slowly phasing out my cards. Below is my suggestion

1) keep both the maybank cards. Good for general use. Amex 5% still the highest. Barcelona 1% for other things.

2) cancel PBB VS, you only get rebate when spend > 100 and already reduced from 6% to 3%. Unless you prefer this over citi.

3) citi cashback has the most criteria but also highest cashback %. You lazy then cancel. But i recommend you keep la.

4) HSBC VS actually nothing useful except for lounge access. Also can cancel also.

Just wonder, is e-wallet topup referring to T&G? for alliance visa platinum?

1 month maximum top up rm3,000 x 8 points = 24,000 points (more then RM3,000 will be 1 point). Further to that, Allianz reward 10,000 points for 1,000 enrich point. Seem too good to be truth?
*
Yes. Can. Please refer to alliance bank credit card thread below and can ask questions there and read up what others have done.

I wont call it too good to be true, but it is good. Hence you are limited to rm3k per month. I could be mistaken but there was no limit when they launched the card.

Everyone also wants lots of benefits but there is no free lunch in this world.
