bong bong give you some of my preference...

If age over 40, can go alliance (1 year) 4.05
If not, OCBC (1 year) or AMbank (9 month) 4
If Internet Savvy, Hong Leong (8 month). 4

For your information, AmBank promotion - 9 months ( 4% ) already closed.

On side note: that's how we derive the total interest we earn, so technically not wrong what...  icon_idea.gif  whistling.gif

I'll give you one piece of cookie. With chocolate chip toppings. 🍪

Haha. Thanks for the compliments. I hoped I (or we? rclxm9.gif ) made your evening well then rclxm9.gif

It just bewildered me people could not understand the meaning of "rate" and "per annum" and mixed it up with absolute value. rclxub.gif

Thanks for the photo of the Ambank FD offers.

I finished off my survey walk around with another visit to another Ambank branch to confirm on the actual nitty gritty before deciding.

For both offers, the interest is paid on maturity into a CASA account. It is an Islamic TD-i FD and there is no payment of monthly interest. There is no exception, not even for senior depositor.

The 4.08% for 8 months with minimum of 50k is not for everybody but only for Ambank Signature Priority customer. Meaning place  200k plus into CASA first before can qualify.

*
You do not need to have 200k first before qualification. You can top up existing money (FD) in Am bank to qualify the priority rate of 4.08%

Welcome. Your Rm800k will sure help achieve the Rm888,888,888.88 target for 4.18% interest for sure. Only issue is, you have to ibg tranfer Rm30k daily over from another bank to your HLBB which I think is stupid and troublesome.

Using M2U, you can do multiple FPX payments of 30k within a day

Just hang around this thread and see whats the best offer is for you. A lot of people update the latest rates here. Which bank to place will also depend on how long your placement will be, not just the interests rates.

3.83% for Islamic 12 months.

Thanks for the update on Hong Leong from previous 3.75% p.a increased to 3.83% for Islamic 12 months. rclxms.gif

But my fengshui b1mbo thinks must be a typo or bad printout. console.gif

According to her, the second decimal place should be 0, 5 or 8 but not 3 for her 3D numbers. tongue.gif
She says macam Hong Leong 4.18, Affin 3.58, 3.68, 3.78, 3.88, 3.98, 4.00, 4.05 and 4.10, Bank Rakyat 4.08 and etc etc.

Like dat, then it should be not be 3.83 but 3.80, 3.85 or 3.88 instead. brows.gif

walk in to few bank, seems OCBC is the best.

as long as ur saving account have 200K, they pay 3.8% PA. kindly remind this is not FD you can withdraw or deposit money anytime, so no lock in period.

the saving account is link to to current account, mean basically u can use the cheque facility. once u issue a cheque, the subject amount will transfer from saving account to current account automatically. very convenience.
