bong bong give you some of my preference...

If age over 40, can go alliance (1 year) 4.05
If not, OCBC (1 year) or AMbank (9 month) 4
If Internet Savvy, Hong Leong (8 month). 4

That is the standard rates. For promo rates, you need to keep updated with the bank's latest promo or hang around in this thread for latest info.  tongue.gif

Welcome. Your Rm800k will sure help achieve the Rm888,888,888.88 target for 4.18% interest for sure. Only issue is, you have to ibg tranfer Rm30k daily over from another bank to your HLBB which I think is stupid and troublesome.

what do u mean?

Like mentioned by two fellow forummers, you have to have a Hong Leong Bank account, and access to their hong leong connect site. You have to place your FD online and transfer (FPX) your money from another Bank to your hong leong FD and each transaction is limited to RM30k/ Day. If you dont have a Hong Leong bank account, dont bother as their promo is till the 28/02/17 which is less than 5 days.

u mean i got to transfer all the fund to HLB within 5 days via internet?

i am not najib cant do that.

walk in to few bank, seems OCBC is the best.

as long as ur saving account have 200K, they pay 3.8% PA. kindly remind this is not FD you can withdraw or deposit money anytime, so no lock in period.

the saving account is link to to current account, mean basically u can use the cheque facility. once u issue a cheque, the subject amount will transfer from saving account to current account automatically. very convenience.

Yes, HSBC need to apply CC to get 4.88% offer. I can't find the offer from CB, do you mind sending me a link in regards to the promo? Thanks in advance.
*
i just put in 400K to HSBC, 4.88%.

need to apply credit card HOWEVER if your credit card application failed due to any reason such as no support document or income payslip, the FD will still proceed.

Would think fresh fund needed. Mine is fresh fund. Going to put to the max to enjoy the gain for the short 3 mths. For your case, can call your RM to enquire, since it is pure FD 3 mth 4.88%. The other promo of FD 9.99% 3 mth is UT/FD combo.  biggrin.gif

i plan to dump in another 400K to ocbc saving for 3.8%, this saving account is link to current account which is very convenience.
