Called the banks for Latest update just now:

1) Ambank: 4.4% (12 months), 4.25% (6 months) valid til end of this week

2) Public Bank: 4.28% (12 months), 4.08% (6 months) valid til end of April

Bank Islam 4.65% 2 years need minimum 50k

you cant blame that sifu, can see many here hunting around and jump with a slightly higher rate.

So that 4.65% compared to those , is really quite significant!
unlike that 4.4% vs 4.38% of Ambank's.

This Bank Islam FD supposed to be 24 months effective rate of 4.65%, the cert shows mature in 3 months at 3.8% only!
Heck i just wait and see what happens after that........i forgot to ask the officer need go back change new cert or what...

Is it normal that we need two identification now to open a FD account? Bank Islam asked me for IC and license.

Isn't that redundant?
I thought all the banks need is just NRIC for thumb print verification.

That's what I called a whole new level or redundancy.
Two thumb print verification, i can roughly understand why, but both IC and license? Might've just played along and say you don't drive/ride. lol

happened to me at Alliance Bank.

He say that they need 2 photo verification. Haha. That's when I also found out that my license expired lolol.

What does 2 photos verification mean?

Means 2 identification that have your photo in it.

Hahah, fluke it is But wouldnt it mean you've passed your birthday recently to forgot? I thought our driving licences expiry date sorta fall together with our birthdate, UNLESS you're one of those lucky few left that could renew it for 10 years
