so many different rate confusing a little.
Let's say i'm 26 yet to be 27.

What would you suggest for maybe 500k? Best if can withdraw monthly else yearly.
*
Depends on your cashflow and strategy plan. You can either spread it out to arrange to get the best deal each month, or you can get stuck at one place. Do you mean withdraw the principal 500k meaning either 1 month tenor FD. Or do you mean 12 month tenor with monthly payment of interest? Or simply full flexibility to withdraw anytime without penalty?
For bigger sums than the normal promo, I prefer to nego with the smaller banks to get better rates - MBSB or Affin, but definitely not the big ones (banyak rugi).

for monthly interest, must ask, right?
*
Haiyah, you MUST ASK and check also even after asking when they give you the cert - you can change if it is wrong. Otherwise the bank staff will sure do normal automatic without monthly payment same like go foodplace and automatic cook normal style with the chilli even if you ordered no chilli.

Make sure open and get banking account number right besides the FD account number. Look for number 51 in bottom left of the FD cert. Minimum at least 5k for 6 months last time condition. Not everybody got 5k or bank account, so used to normal no monthly interest payment business with most depositors.

Well, in term of withdrawal only the interest.

Make it this way, assuming 1 year @ 4% ish, once it matured I'll just withdraw the interest and use it and leave the 500k running provided it work that way.
Basically only require the interest rather than the 500k.

Still considering whether if it is a good move. Looking at 500-800k, aiming to get like 2.5k-3k which enough to cover house installment(planning to get 1)
Just rough idea on rolling it.

regarding the monthly interest matter, is that if one withdraw before maturity date, the bank would deduct all the paid monthly interest from your principal amount while withdrawing?

i tried that before with hongleong, the credited monthly interest into saving account deducted from principal, so the net amount still the ori deposit amount, bank won't make loss on this matter.

seems it juz more convenience for ppl to use the interest before maturity only

if can't maintain better don lock on so long.

is it 300k? else the hamper could easily add another 0.1~0.2% to the effective interest

In BR now to renew fd. Got 4.08% with monthly interest.

This promo is meant for fresh fund only. But was told have to credit monthly interest to CASA. Looks like 2 version of interest option mentioned in this forum.

Also lucky draw have to send SMS
