Around 10 minutes only 😁

That was fast.

I did 3 certs today at BI Cyberjaya. The electronic signature had issue, and after waiting for near 10 mins, proceeded with manual forms for signature. All in all, took me just over half an hour which is slow considering I was the only person there.

Aiks. The staff never informed me also. I went there today, they told me system offline coz got problem. I thought whole BI system got problem. But seeing a few forummers here managed to place the FD today, seems like only that particular branch got problem. If no need open SA it's the best. I'll try walk in again tomorrow then shakehead.gif

Also did mine 4.5% @ 12m. No need to open savings account. Took about 30mins. Slightly longer cause 1st time with BI, so have to meet officer to confirm some details. Overall pretty friendly and efficient

Alrajhi has FD promo of 4.1% for 6 months but min deposit is rm50k.

Anyway, for short term parking of funds, better open acct with rize app by alrajhi. They have promo of 5% for first rm5k and subsequent above rm5 k , 4% profit with no max. Promo until 31 August. No tie down period and pidm protected

I can never fathom why an ATM card is necessary for activating online banking. I find it absurd and a way just for banks to make money. And the annual fee is like I'm paying to use their online services. Pfftttt!

I open some bank account without ATM cards nowaways. No such need because online banking still can be done. If need cash, can use app withdraw or transfer to other bank that have ATM. Zero cost at the end too.

Some banks have Basic SA account which is free. Someone posted that actually all Banks suppose to provide this as required by Bank Negara but they diam diam don't tell customer this option. For example, my CIMB SA Basic no fees.
