I went to the counter today and the lady said, only for PB customers.... wtf!!
She said if I want to do OTC, no special rate!

Wanted to place it as a joint account, that's why I wanted to place OTC.
I told her internet says can place OTC without being a priority customer but she said this branch cannot.

Eh, internet usage functionality depends on branch?? This is so mess up. Maybe the counter staff told you wrong info? Don't trust them too much. BBMB needs 4 people to have mini meeting how to use their system create a normal FD OTC, right in front of me.

Amount you put is 200k or above right?

no ... way less than that.

You need to follow the instructions.
If you see 6 months, then clearly you didn't follow the steps.

I think you misunderstood some parts, first, someone mentioned that can get OTC 4.5% interest if the amount is 200k or above, and the interest will be credited monthly.
If less than 200k, only way to get 4.5% is placing through online but interest credited 6months once if I remember correctly.

This is what I understand from posts above, or I'm the one having misunderstanding

Haha so true. I experienced this & ended up wasting half an hour then still go for pure FD, or withdrawals...

I thought 4.8% will only come during March - May 2023. In that case, very likely we will have 5.0%.
