U mean the TDT Advance campaign of BI ? It does not say placement thru' FPX. Please clarify.

I scan thru' the TDT Advance TnC, did not mention of the 10k tie up, maybe that is for BI's old campaign ?

OK, called BI branch mgr. This promo no need 10k tie up in SA. Must have mixed this up with other promo.

Great, so can just place it there. Muamalat 4% need applying credit card. Kind of troublesome.

As mentioned, not considering MBSB for now, not all eggs in one basket !

Muamalat has FD 12 mth 4%, can get mthly profit, separate promo, no need credit card application.

They also has a TIAi with 12 mth 4.2%.

MBSB has new FD promo, just started yesterday.

12 mth 4.03%, no monthly interest. Min 5k fresh fund. For renewal, top up fresh fund 5k.

I was at the branch yesterday. Withdrawing matured FD. I was told about the new FD promo just started on Wed 14/5. Min fresh fund 5k.

But I eventually still take out and placed in Muamalat at 4% but with monthly interest.

Which Wed ? 14/5 or last week ? The above mentioned 4.03% started on 14/5.

Should have sent this yesterday, just opened the WhatsApp today. Note 14/5 to 18/5.

Will this quiet down the nay sayer ??

Some people jump the gun too fast and some must realise banks promo differ by locations/date......

It depends on u. Diff acct has diff minimum to maintain and diff interest rate. Better for u to check it online and decide yourself.

They are having "roadshows". So up to this Sunday they are open in Gurney Plaza.

U have to decide if it is worth it for u or not. Does not seem to worth for the small amt gain but u may consider the other "goodies" they are offering.

Yes, I did it on May 15th. So have to wait until Jun 15th to confirm getting the mthly profit.

As u know Muamalat FD cert did not show the mthly profit option. But has reminded their staff while placing the FD.

The campaign is FTA-i Bonus Booster. I have asked the officer involved before going to the branch.

I did have few FD from Muamalat that is still running with mthly profit.

For this one has to wait till June to confirm as their FD cert never show the mthly profit option.

During placement twice reminded their officers, they confirmed mthly profit in the system.

Well, just has to wait n see.

After the placement, I asked again, the officer said yes, apparently the system was set (while they were on the screen setting up the FD placement).

Anyway has to wait until Jun 15. If really cannot get mthly profit, then should have taken up the 4.03% of MBSB.

Haha, my MBSB FD matured today. In the past 1 yr or so, noted that they have been renewing FD maturing on weekend to next Monday.

But I just want to make sure it is so as it was some time ago that I have this case in MBSB.

So today's MBSB FD was auto changed to Monday as maturity date.

It saved the trouble of asking for additional FD interest as the FD amt is not small.

So for others, u can check it online and see the maturity date if it has been moved to Monday.

They have improved. Few years ago have to asked them to credit the weekend add'l days of interest.

Also for the add'l 1k for FD renewal, over heard the branch mgr talking to one customer. The 1k has to be deposited on the day of renewal. Other banks allowed "fresh" funds to be few days into the acct. But not 100% sure as I just overheard this.

First time encounter MBSB this requirement for renewal. So for FD interest on the day of maturity, does it count in as part of the requirement ?

So just the original FD amt + new fund 1k (from FD interest) ??

Well, I would have to wait till Jun 15 to see if I got the mthly interest.

If not my moving away from MBSB's 4.03% is a waste.


I was in MBSB yesterday and renewed my FD. Sent 1k over in the morning. Split to 2 certs.

I intentionally asked if I should have put in add'l 1k per cert. The staff answer is kind of "yes" but since he filled up the form for me on the 2 certs, it
is "ok".

So this kind of ambiguous. Better just leave it there.

OK, at least one forummer confirmed my 15/5 Muamalat placement with mthly profit/interest.
