My experience is different. Average just around 30 mins inclusive of waiting time.

First time placement takes longer because I opened SA and also during MCO.

Just came back from BI to renew my FD. Whole process takes 30mins. Counter 15mins issue new cert and another 15mins at CS counter to sign document. Overall comfortable experience.

Can  put efd and minus all the trouble ?

main counter  free , no customers but we cant go straight

we must go see the side counter girl who handles opening accounts etc
to get documents printed out , she usually busier attending enquiries etc
then only can go main counter  do Fd cert

sudah dapat cert  still cannot go back!
again must wait to see the side counter girl again
for her to record sign digitally

all can withdraw online easy.

Different branch different procedure then. I only have the counter staff handling all. Only need to go to the side counter when opening SA.

Still 3 steps but handled at the same station.

BI is quite aggressive. Just received a phone call reminding I have some FDs maturing next week and can come to renew at promo rate. Even my RM from other banks don’t bother to remind of maturing FD.
I didn’t try from app before as prefer using desktop for such matters.

Weak, can't even give 4% for 18m. Was expecting Ambank to mount a challenge

Hi may i check with you guys about the FD promotion in Bank Rakyat, the 4% promotion rate require RM10K earmark in saving account, so this earmark RM10K only for one time? What if today i place RM100K and earmark RM10K saving account today, next month if i want to place another RM100k , whether need to earmark another RM10K in saving account?

Anyone tried to nego with Muamalat if amount is big ? are they open to nego?

Muamalat cannot call branch, all handled by one call centre number. Call centre staff are not that well-versed. Anyone got direct contact number for PJ Jaya One Branch, can please share? Thanks

Just received the final interest for the FD portion from the Ambank Trusavers bundle which translate to an eff rate of 4.74% 

Bonus interest not paid on maturing date. I forego them and withdraw all.

So anyone managed to nego with bank muamalat ( Jaya 1) for better rates with bigger amount?  i called them but they fix it it and don't allow further nego.... sigh....

Did you get the cert on the same day?

The branch here said can get cert today but effective date is tomorrow. Same as you, via bankers cheque from Ambank
