You are lucky I am at the branch and read this msg. Just asked the branch, the trick is to deposit the 250k into CASA and apply for PW. Once obtained, then make the TDT placement. No cc required, need to get Sapphire debit card.

I am asking BI branch mgr, but have not got the full answer yet.

So if deposit to CASA, then FD placement will be later (if use banker's cheque) ?

The only slack thing is need RM to approve and BM has no authorisation. The RM at my branch is away in KL.

4 hours  Thing is I already obtained the Sapphire Card last year but PW is only introduced recently so i am not listed as PW in their system. So that is why have to get the signature from the RM no matter what. And so happened he is away in a meeting in KL so unable to process my application in a timely manner. Once get his approval, placing the FD follows the same procedure as normal. Luckily I was able to do some shopping while waiting for cert. What about your case?

When you split the amount into several certs, each cert above RM250k?

initially the officer said so, but then told them i wanna split some to smaller amount, so they request and get approval from HQ.
I split 50k into 5 certs, then another 50k 1 cert, the rest all in 1 cert.

i think as long total is 250k and above should be fine, its just that they initially reluctant/dissuade you because more work (and maybe also because some branch got limited amount of certs left so they trying to jimat it)

Mine is tomorrow FD maturing, so has to Rentas to my BI acct.

Thanks for sharing on the 4.1% FD placement. I only got a normal BI debit card. So tomorrow would expect some time to get the PW approved and
the Sapphire debit card.

Have to rentas from MBSB then to BI tomorrow. Let's see how it goes.

What lah, MBSB rentas n BC both cannot be processed due to system down. Has to do ibg.

So later may have to apply for BI PW first with ibg sheet

yes they not well versed with it, in fact they dont know anything about it. once informed about PW 4.1% to them then they check it with HQ then only they know got such thing..

My placement was 1 piece of cert was above 250k, while the rest was split up smaller like i mentioned (10k x5 certs, 50k x1 cert), total 7 certs..
Initially the officer said the same thing cant split, but when i requested how i want to split my FD up they said have to request it from HQ and see whether allowed or not.. In the end allowed me to do it like that..

How much was your placement? Maybe need at least 1 piece to be >250k? If ngam2 250k maybe thats why cant split further?

from my experience last month,

last month , can do the TDT online and i place rm250,000 online(this month like cannot already). then i called the bintulu branch bimb. they also dont entertain me but they ask the RM to call me back.

finally RM call me back after 2hours. for bimb and cimb bank, only Rm entertain eh PW customer because they have target and commission but other staff dont have it. then why staff at counter dont care on u.

coz weekdays i working and cannot go to branch. i meet RM on saturday morning. RM bring the form for me to sign as PW customer and thumb print as well at hotel lobby. in meantimes, he bring the free gift like notebook, universal adaptor, passport holder and etc to me too. only PW Sapphire debit card she cannot bring it to me.

after two days, RM tell me the status of PW is done. at that time i not at bintulu anymore. i request to take the debit card at sibu branch. RM help me to arrange the officer at sibu and i go to take the debit card at branch during lunch time. dont need queue when i reach sibu branch and direct get the card.

if u are at bintulu sarawak, i can give u my RM contact to u. she is nice.

main point here is dont talk to counter and officer at branch. direct to RM and book a time with RM before u go.

it's a half-assed "premier", that's why amount to qualify also low.. nothing premier about it, just treat it as normal FD. Get it for the 4.1% rate only..

Previously i received a notebook from the BM. Will see if RM has any free gifts when I see him for next placement. Is the 4% 12m rate still available for deposit below RM250k?

Yes, I did it on May 15th. So have to wait until Jun 15th to confirm getting the mthly profit.

As u know Muamalat FD cert did not show the mthly profit option. But has reminded their staff while placing the FD.

Is the maturity date on Friday? You can withdraw it via online.

my mbsb otc fd also got adjusted its maturity to next working day (30/6), which is additional 3 days 

FD slip printed on 27/6/2024 stated maturity falls on 27/6/2025; but seems the system auto-adjusted it (good and reasonable logic to extend to next working day)

i guess will get extra interest. gotta check next Monday then.
