you will have to call in to check as i do not see it on their website anymore.

Do note it was OTC only and for new to premium (100k) or new to priority only (250k). So 1 time only.

For SA portion 4% is based on opening a Privilege$aver - https://www.sc.com/my/deposits/psa/

and meeting the conditions monthly to ensure 4%

-deposit RM3k a month (single transaction)
-use RM1k on their credit card

if you are keen, pm me and i'll check with my RM on Monday
*
thanks. 200k. ya i am keen but i am in penang hehe, u in kl right. will check out on monday. ya i am aware of the conditions for both the fd and saver acct. couldnt find the page anymore haha that's why asked. thanks for the single transaction info, havent really checked the tnc of it.

My previous Jan 2020 month or before, I have calculated to the exact days, they are correct. Even those 2 or 3 days that they paid late. They do NOT pay on weekend or public holidays. I have calculated and they did add in those extra days. EXACTLY.

So yours for Feb month is exact to the number of days ? I have calculated few times and compared with my late Jan 2020 calculation. Still short by small amount. Like 4.1% instead of 4.2%.

Aiya, someone was even thinking I do not know about calculating the IBD ........... tongue.gif
*
how far in % does it deviate? my january one seems alright. (shld be 4.5 and 4.2 for two fd). next would be april dy.

I find Affin is the best bank for FD as their board rates are higher than most banks' promo rates. No need to keep changing banks every year.
*
i think this 3.7 is also their promo rate eh. board rate? not sure.

QUOTE(LoTek @ Feb 5 2020, 04:04 PM)
otc right? i could not find above 11 month listed in the website.
*
ya otc. online no promo.

my bro told them wan Basic Saving Acc too, but, they said BSA also will come with debit card, n my bro is those type that lazy to argue... so, ended up open pay & save acc with debit card... n i saw there is cashback for the pay and save acc..

https://www.hlb.com.my/content/dam/hlb/my/d...gn-2020-tnc.pdf

Seem like not bad... just that it doesnt apply to online purchase...
*
BSA does come with ATM card. No annual fee/fee unless you go press atm more than 8 times a month. Or go counter too many times a month.

Alliance Bank, 3.8% for 6 months, just put RM 10K to CASA, then no limit
of FD amount to earn 3.8%, no locking RM 10K from CASA.

Is this the best deal for 6 months FD so far? hmm.gif

Cause at 3.x% you are already losing out to
1) inflation
2) super low yield
3) purchasing power (with current and malaysia problem, RM ound to stay depress or continue depreciation against other country currency making it more expensive as Malaysia basically import everything.
Now at 3.x% assuming you don't need the money, you invest in singapore reits yielding
4-7% - 4% is like those midvalley types. Very stable
SG banks at current price are giving 5.x%

1-2% in US with annaul dividend growth of 10%p.a
- come on, where on earth you can find your money increasing every year automatically? Look at FD, automatically decrease every year.

Your choice. Continue stay in useless FD or made the switch. If your FD 4% maybe still ok. Now most likely all low 3% , is not OK!

Ok, I will stop here.
Correction I am heavy everywhere that is cheap and have good yield. You name it. US, Canada, Europe, UK, SG, HK all I whack. Ok, I will stop here.
*
reit proceed in sg need pay malaysian tax or not btw?

Sorry for the late reply, I had to made sure I could before I posted.

I do not have AmBank SA before, but I do have their CC. What I did was to download their app, using it and apply for the eFlex Savings. From there, i transferred my money to the eFlex. I have successfully gotten the 3.5% with funds taken from the eFlex acc.

No need to go branch all. I do not know if this works if you do not have any prior relationship with AmBank.

lucky u. i have a shared saving account that cannot be registered with my amonline login. cs said sorry need go to bank lol.

*
