Problem is, before i reformat it, the "to bluetooth" option was there. Now, it isn't.

first, you are recovering using the backup disc created right?
have you turn on the bluetooth before doing so?

guys, anyone know where is the service centre for sony vaio notebook?
here is my problem. since last week, my notebook always displayed blue screen (i was running winxp) when i am surfing / watching movies/ etc..so i thought maybe virus or spyware, and i scanned. but no virus or spyware. i have tried to restore back to original factory state. works for a while but after a day or 2, the blue screen appear. i then upgrade to vista (without formatting) still the same...blue screen and also sometimes "application crash" message. then i tried to format it and install windows vista..still the same! i just noticed just now there is a soft buzzing sound in my lappy and i think there is some hardware mulfunction (i suspect the culprit is HD). The sounds appear all the time and i now already worried if something is wrong..

therefore, i would like to know where is the sony service centre and usually how long will they take to check my notebook?

WOW!! I have been thinking of doing this. Is there any drivers issues? Possible for dual-boot?

wanna get cr23 but the specs is kinda less compared to dell's xps with such price. i kinda doubtful with dell's durability. but dell has good service.

i'm juz attracted to vaio coz of the brand itself. wat abt its reliability? good? smile.gif

VAIO gives better reliability and durability. The new XPS has been reported of having problems like loose lid hinge and wireless switch. Drivers issues are common with Dell. Nonetheless, if you're heavy users in term of application like games or engineering softwares, xps delivers better performance with cheaper price.

The CR23G has been replaced by CR35. The specs are much better. Wanted to get the Lizard Skin edition but was told that M'sia won't be bringing in that. Will only bring in 5 colors --- red, gold, white, indigo, and pink. Won't even bring in black!
Any idea where to get the lizard skin?

sadly, it's depend on sony malaysia..
unless you decide to make a purchase online, and having warranty hold by the country/place you purchased from, not from sony malaysia,eg sony new zealand, n.a.

weird that they have remove out all the cr series with ati gpu which available before.

Hi, I've a FZ 160 E and was wondering if anyone know whether i can install Hackintosh aka Kalyway 10.5.1 Leopard on it. I try to change the setting in Bios but i guess they lock it up, so i wasn't able to change some crucial settings.

Thanks

what do you think of TZ series? latest one is TZ37 i think, with C2D 1.33GHz. got ruby red. donno nice color or not. but i really like the size & i think the spec is good enough for normal office work, internet & email. budget-wise i can go for TZ or SZ. of course SZ got very good spec but i really like the portability of TZ. any comment?

hi there...

i'm a user of the sony FE45G/W model.

my vaio came with pre-installed vista home premium.
because of my school, i need to use XP Pro for their programs and such, so i'm did a dual-boot and haf both vista and xp pro..

problems is that, i need the graphics driver(nvidia geforce go 7600), and the Fn buttons are not working, making my vaio unable to b displayed on the projector when the VGA is connected...

i know whenever u nid to change the display u hold onto Fn button and press the F1 - 12 keys, which ever that have a monitor logo on it.. But mine doesn't work.. can anyone please enlighten me on my problem?

another thing is, the battery life last roughly 1hr and 10 mins at the max when running XP, but when running vista, i can run a max of 2.5hr...
any idea what can i do? as in like, is there any software or a sony driver where by it helps to maximise ur battery?

i've been told by the sales person that this laptop model can support up to maximum 2Gb RAM.
can i actually change it to higher? like mayb 4gb ram?

thanks in advance.
