Looks like I'm a lil late here. Got a VGN-C13G somewhere in Dec 2006. Simply luv the 13.3" screen.

Well, dudes and dutess out there, burn the recovery cd set. It'll cost ya RM150.00 to purchase it from Sony.

Oh well I know this because I recently messed with Linux and killed my entire hdd partitions including the recovery. partitionVaio zoinked. I didn't make the recovery cds. With the drivers available at the support site, it will only bring ur lappie back to minimal working conditions. No softwares, the memory stick icon in explorer is an ugly default, cd/dvd dual drive performs at it's very slowest, etc.

I'll be sending my lappie back to sony for a re-image soon.
